Poulan Lawnmower My lawnmower has a squel when I turn on the mower. I am wondering what this is.

The squeal is most likely the drive belt moving against a pulley or tensioner which is frozen due to a bad bearing. This can start a fire at worst and burn through the belt at the least. You need to have someone take a look at your belts.

I HAVE A 24 HORSE Poulan riding lawnmower pro that keeps bending the rods and it has no power. I was wondering if this could be a timing problem.


It a design problem. Where you adjust valves it happen. You need correct valve adjusted, check valve seats they can move. I've had mine 17 years. One problem, adjusted one valve to tighen. Bent a pushrod

Lawnmower stored for a year tipped up and all oil leaked out -- Won't start now.


You have most likely gotten oil on the coil, You need to remove the pull start assembly and you will see the coil/flywheel, check for any oil contamination which you can clean up with brake/carb cleaner.

My poulan riding lawnmower will not roll. The


Hi..my name is Keith..and it sounds like the neutral rod on the back of the mower needs to come out further to fully disengage the transmission so you can roll it..it should have an adjusting nut on the rod..and i would turn the nut in a couple of turns until the lawn mower will roll..i hope this will help..if not please write me back
