When i try to install oracle 10g in my Laptop,its terminating the installation process and giving an error message that abnormal termination;then i went to Event view to see the error message there i found a message saying that "oracle 10g is incompatible with windows ....please contact oracle"

Unfortanetely there are no Drivers for Compaq presario cq40 108tu for WINDOWS SERVER Operating System. There are Drivers for WINDOWS7 and WINDOWS VISTA only. You need to change your operating system to WIN 7 or WIN VISTA.

you mean you need to downgrade your computer from Windows Vista to XP? if so is the case, you need to go to the BIOS in the Boot menu, select IDE from ACPI. put the boot option to boot from CD first or disable Boot from hard disk. then you will be able to downgrade your computer from Vista to XP.
To install IIS server in Windows xp you need to put the installation disk and then select " Install windows components". It would give you a list of applications you can install from where you can install IIS server.
Restart the computer and you can see the home page of iis 7.0 comming up if you type localhost in IE.
The notebook is preinstalled with a SATA hard drive which needs seperate drivers to be installed inorder to get the hard drive detected. The drivers for the SATA can be installed only by using a floppy drive. As the notebook does not have a floppy drive installed, we can either try disabling the SATA native support in BIOS or install the drivers with the help of a USB floppy drive.
