Question about Panasonic Televison & Video
When this tv is switched on their is only sound ,but no picture.Also i
can here the static on the tv ,but no picture.The filliments on neck
of crt tube not on.

Is this a recognised symptom? yes the problem in power supply. it is due to switching oscillator& switcing output circuit probabaly capacitor & transistor. as set is very old so after power supply is ok check for horizontal output also. can it be fixed? yes it is common & not major problem

the horizontal section is near collapse, the lines indicate a sort or leak. Soon, the set will go black. Shut off as repair will be cheaper now! Needs professional repair as High voltage section is dangerous.. Unplug to be safe!

Power supply,horizontal output,fbt transformer or lastly picture tube all this matter can make your ic board got sound

first try change your vertical output ic check the horizontal output ic but i suspect your system ic is fault it is very hard to find the part and exspensive too

SOURCE: I have a Panasonic 32' crt tv
some of those chassis develope small cracks or cold solder joints
should be resoldered in several areas know to have that problem
transformer pin connectors-heatsink transistors/ic's have to be checked
