Hi, I was able to find this fan by doing a lot of searching on the numbers. I could not how ever find a exploded view of this fan to see what this may be. I was able to come up with a toll free number for you to call to find out what your problem may be. Have you got a ladder and looked at it yourself to see what if anything has come loose? You may want to, but do call this number and keep your information on hand and keep me posted on this. If they are of no help get back to me shastalaker7, and we will get it repaired. Please rate me on this if I have been of help to you, that would be very kind of you. Keep me posted.

My Emerson 1895 CF-1 ceiling fan has a problem with a blade hitting the top of the metal housing for the light fix below it. Fan blades and light fixture seem more wobbly then when it was installed 11yrs...

It is entirely possible that the typical 3 screws that hold the blades to the fan arms have loosened up over the years. I would take a screw driver and tighten them. If they loosen they will sag at the ends and touch any frame under them.

Ceiling fan off track

Might have broken the flywheel if this fan has one. The flywheel is the is the round rubber wheel that the blades attach to. If I knew the model of the fan I would know if it has a flywheel.

Fan only wobbles on high....recently 'bumped'

Check all your screws especially the set screw at top of fan that goes into rod. Blades could be warped from the water. Ball of fan not set in bracket correctly. When your buying a fan, look for blade pitch.13 degree or better is best. You shouldn't have to use the fan on high unless it's a low-end fan with a low blade pitch. It's costing you more money to run the fan on high. Sorry to get so preachy, I'm a fan dealer .

My fan shakes and wobbles even on low and it also seems to by loose where it mounts to the ceiling. What do I need to do.

I imagine you have a ceiling fan hanging from the roof?? These fans are mounted on a hook which is loose from the roof. This is to prevent any vibration being transfered to the ceiling itself. Generally, there is a domed cover to hide the hook and associated wiring to the fan at the point of attachment to the ceiling. This dome should have a gap of a couple of millimeters away from the roof. If the fan is vibrating, it can also occur because one of the blades may be loose or dislodged. Try tightening up any screws holding the blades to the motor body or refitting the blades. If this doesnt help, you may need to remove all the blased and weight them seperately. 1 may have "thrown" a balance weight and is now unbalanced. Much like an unbalanced car wheel vibrates. All the blades should weigh the same. I used to fix these by supergluing metal washers to the top side of the lightest blades to make it up the weight of the heaviest. It works but someone may have a better idea...

My flush ceiling fan is wobbling and hitting against the ceiling making an awful noise. How do I fix that issue?

The fan blades appear to be out of balance. First, check the screws that hold the fan blade irons to the fan motor. Tighten all that may be loose. If that doesn't solve the problem. the fan hanger bracket behind the ceiling cowl cover may be loose (it's attached with thin screws). In addition, the electrical box, that the hanger is attached to, may have come loose from the ceiling joist. If the electrical box has come loose, the box will need to be reattached to the joist with 1 1/2" long screws.

Hope this helps to solve the problem.

Fan making a scraping noise

If it seems out of balance, Try swapping the position of two opposing blades or two adjacent blades.
It's a bit hit and miss - but one arrangement will be better than the others.

If it is a fairly old fan, it may be possible to adjust the bearings inside, but it will need removing from the ceiling to do this.
Use a workbench that can have a gap in the centre to make life easier.

I Have a hampton bay ceiling fan mod. 523 342,

if you have connected power directly to the fan motor and it doesn't turn...replace the fan.  However, also check the switches on the fan as you may have bumped them.

Ceiling fan wobble

try taping a nickle on top of one of the blades start in the middle of the blade (from tip towards motor) then turn it on see if it improves..if not change it to a different blade.. keep trying blades till you notice an improvement. Then fine tune it by moving the penny in towards the motor or out towards the tip. It is a time consuming task but it will work.
