I,ve done a cad drawing of a curved object and want to print it full size (i.e.scale of 1:1)so we can use it as a template. My printer is a canon IP4200 and does A4 pages. The full size item is 950mm X 500mm.I realize I will have to lay out the pages as a puzzle. Can this be done?? Look forward to a reply, Alan

You should be able to do this using the "Poster Printing" option in the printer preferences. On the Page Setup tab, select Poster Printing as Printing Type, then click on the Specify... button. Select Divided into 16 (4 x 4) for the Image Divisions. This should give you enough area for the size you specified.

How to shrink document to fit screen size when printing

Hi,

Scaled Printing
The procedure for specifying a scaling value and printing a document with pages enlarged or reduced to match the document to the paper size is as follows:
1. Open the printer driver setup window, and select Scaled Printing from the Page Layout list on the Page Setup tab.

figure:Select Scaled Printing for Page Layout on the Page Setup tab
2. Using Page Size, select the page size that was set with your application.
3. Do either of the following to set a scaling factor:
Select a Printer Paper Size.
Select a printer paper size, which is different from the Page Size, from the Printer Paper Size list. If the printer paper size is smaller than the Page Size, the page image will be reduced. If the printer paper size is larger than the page size, the page image will be enlarged.6c3578e0-f243-44b0-aa8e-f7bb7752ed56.jpg

Specify a scaling factor.
Directly type in a value into the Scaling box.

The current settings are displayed in the Settings Preview on the left side of the printer driver.
4. Click OK.
When you execute print, the document will be printed with the specified scale.
Note
If the application software with which you created the original has the scaled printing function, configure the settings on your application software. You do not need to also configure the same setting in the printer driver. When Scaled Printing is selected, the Staple Side list box appears grayed out and is unavailable (when Duplex Printing is not selected). When Borderless Printing check box is checked for the Page Layout list, Scaled Printing cannot be selected.
Tip
Selecting Scaled Printing changes the printable area.

Hope this helps

You might try this link:
Adobe - Canon Templates

Or - try editing a pre-made template. Perhaps delete that template's artwork in Adobe Photoshop.

Can't print cd label

Somewhere in your supplied software you'll have Canon Easy-Photoprint.(If not, download it, if it supports your printer) It leaves a small tray of buttons on your screen if set to start with Windows. It's got a CD label button, and on my i9000pro, you don't have any other settings to worry about. You probably thought this was a noddy programme not worth installing, but it has its uses. Hope this helps.

My printer won't print on a full scale.. meaning

this has to be set from the wizard for the printing job ...look for the edges size..but when you print on paper ..something like a full size A4 image ...it will always leave a 5 mm edge as default setting ..But like I said..initiate printing ..and in that wizard set the edge to 0 or ..click to remove edge if it is possible..anyway if it is possible there is the only location where you can change it ...and I'm not sure if it can be done permanently

Mismatch paper size error

Click on Print, then Properties, then features.
About half way down there is a drop down box under sizing options.
Click on custom
Create a name, and put your width and height in.
Click Save and then OK
Completely X out of the print options.
Then Click
File, print
on the bottom of that screen there should be a scale to paper size drop down box. Scroll to the bottom and your saved name and dimensions should be there.

You will have to setup each individual sized template ones and then just scale to fit each time. Hope this helps

Incomplete plot from .pdf file - Hp DesignJet 1050C Plus

Was the plot originally done on a size D or E plotter.. A .pdf is generally not a good way to send a plot that has to be done to scale.. Can they re-send the plot in a hpgl format, or a format that you can use in another program, liks ACAD, and then print it through that program? This would provide you with some control, that a pdf document will not allow.

This is just a stab in the dark for me, but I am familiar with plotters in general, just not the many formats to print from..

Page size for CD printing

I think that the CD/DVD printing ability depends on the software that epson bundles with the printer.
I had the EPSON R200 and i could only print CD's from the EPSON PrintCD software.

Turn off and unplug the printer from its electrical source for several minutes. Turn off the computer. Turn on the printer boot up the computer. Try to print something. Try checking for viruses or spyirus http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=SupportDetailAct&fcategoryid=257&modelid=11993 this is the site for your printer. Scaled printing To enlarge or reduce a printed document by specifying a percentage, select 'Scaled Printing'. You cannot use this setting with borderless printing. 1. Access the printing preferences by opening the printer Properties/ Preferences. For Windows Vista * Click / Select 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, 'Control Panel', 'Hardware and Sound', and then click on 'Printers'. For Windows XP Professional Edition * Click 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, and 'Printers and Faxes.' * Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Properties' from the menu that appears. For Windows 2000/Me/98 * Click / Select 'Start' from the bottom left of the Windows screen, and 'Settings,' then 'Printers.' * Click your right mouse button on the listing for your printer, and then select 'Properties' from the menu that appears. 2. Select the 'Page Setup' tab and under 'Printing Type', select 'Scaled Printing'. 3. In 'Page Size', select the paper size specified in the application. If you select a size that cannot be selected in your printer, a message will display informing you that the setting has been changed to 'Fit-to-page' printing. Select 'Scaled Printing' again. 4. In 'Orientation', select the same orientation as specified in the application (either Portrait or Landscape). 5. In 'Printer Paper Size', select the paper size loaded in the printer. In 'Scaling', the magnification at which the document will print so as to fit exactly on the output paper size will appear as a reference value. 6. In 'Scaling', specify the percentage. You can select from 20% to 400%. 7. Click 'OK'. Let me know what happens. Good Luck, Tim
