That is your computer trying to boot from your network adapter.

Check in the bios the boot order.

Set it to

  1. CD/DVD Rom
  2. IDE0
  3. IDE1 or whatever you want.
Also check the first page to see if it has actually found your hard drive and cdrom. If not check the cables are connected. If they are both on the same cable then check the jumpers on the drives to make sure you have them set as Master (hard drive) and slave (cdrom) or both set to cable select.

Cant install server 2012

Hello download a manual from the homepage:

http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/xeon3000/3210/x7sbe.cfm

Check the settings in the bios.

Try to reset the bios to factory default.
And setup basic boot settings for the drives.
First boot device: cd/dvd
Second: the harddrive.
Try installing with only one harddrive (you can always add more later)
Check also the cd/dvd drive for fault.

The Os server 2012 is supported.

Good luck

Motherboard won't boot past cmos

you are pretty much right it may be a corrupt bios, however before we come to a conclusion try isolating both Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm 80gig ide hard drive and optical drive only and then see if it at least goes past the bios screen, if yes then the bios is ok and just needs to be resetted to defaults. dont expect it to load windows even if it goes past bios check as hard disk which helps to boot to windows would be removed. also in case if you are using 2 ram slots try connecting only 1 ram chip in 1 slot and then see if it goes past the bios test screen. do reply with results. Good luck.

Upon powering on the system won't go past the boot

> problem with barebone system
> asks for a password in the Setup

Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the AC power.
Look on the motherboard for three pins in a row, with a jumper between #1 and #2.
Move that jumper to connect #2 and #3. Count to ten.
Move that jumper back to #1 and #2.
The motherboard has been reset to its "factory" settings, i.e., NO password.
Connect the AC power.
Turn the computer on.
Press <DEL> to enter Setup.
It should NOT ask for a password.

System will not boot past the BIOS splash screen. It just sits there loccked up. The system is a HP Pavilion.

First of all, this is not a problem with your video card but rather your motherboard. You can try searching around with the information of your motherboard, eg brand, serial number, and bios version, or post that information here. I hope this helps and have a nice day!

HP DV9000 won't boot up past the HP splash screen, can't enter bios or access boot menu. It just keeps starting over, freezing, then starting over again.

Hi,
I think your hard drive has failed. It keeps searching for the boot sector. The boot sector is broken so the hard drive keep starting over to search for it.

Nope, just goto bios menu and look for line First Boot Device then select CDROM, or scroll to have CDROm in the selected first boot device.

Will not boot- Sits at searching for sat forever and does not get past this point

I had this same issue recently. Unplug the receiver, for approx 30 seconds and after you plug it back in, it should receive the signal and boot up when you turn it on.

Weird error message on boot. BIOS error?

This is a strange one. Does the BIOS on your motherboard detect your hard drives at all? I'd try the lowest level first. If so, then try to boot from your XP CD ROM (hopefully this should work). Try to go into recovery console to see if your hard drive can even be mounted by the system. I'd check there.

If you still have issues, try to reflash your mobo BIOS to the most current one. Could be a flaky BIOS issue.
