When I'd run my unit for a few hours, the panel stopped responding, it wouldn't change any settings, either with the remote or if I pushed the panel buttons. I couldn't even turn it on or off. When I went to check the thermostat plug I found a moth coccoon attached to the circuit board and a LOT of dirt. I cleaned it, and no more problems. Thank you, this was the only place I could find troubleshooting for this unit.

SOURCE: LG S36AHP-UD7 Split Air Con. won't turn on.

Generally when an ac trips the main breaker and the breaker its self isn't bad, the compressor is going bad or is bad. To check you will need to do an ohms test on the compressor. If you get a reading of less than infinite, then the compressor is bad. You will need to test every lead going to the compressor which is usually 3 unless you have a crank house heater installed but they are not typical on a small unit. If the compressor has gone bad it is possible the it took the board out as well.

SOURCE: i triped my breaker that

Please don't try again and again. The breaker tripping is an indication of fault in your a/c.

Check indoor and out door for loose contacts. If anything, rectify. Check blower motor, fan motor and compressor for grounding. Check with an ohms meter, keep one end with any tewrminal and second with ground. If anything reading even 00.00, it's grounding. The particular spare/s to be replaced. Call repairman to check, if you're not aware of it. Thanks.

SOURCE: my fridgedaire window unit A/C and heat won't

Plug a light into the outlet used for the A/C, if the light does not come on when reset then the circuit breaker that provided the power to the outlet need to be reset or replaced.

My electricity went out when I had my window unit on and now my TV won"t come on. My tv is a lil over a year old. Why is this happening

Hi Morris

Am suspecting your electric or power supply.
I need you to try the following steps.
1. unplug all your units or appliances
2. Reset your circuit breaker
3. try to plug your tv only and turn it On, if its turn On, then your tv is Ok
4. You mention window unit, is this aircondition window type?
Now try to plug this window unit and turn it On, if electricity went out again, then the problem is in your circuit breaker.

It could be the specs or rating of your circuit breaker does not much with the rating of your window unit.

Kenmore elite 10654606300 won't turn on

Do you have power at the outlet? If you do, your breaker trip as soon as you plug the unit in? If you have power to the unit and your breaker is not tripping, inspect the wires from the power cord to make sure rodents have not chewed the wires. If everything else looks good then you have a bad cntrl board PART NUMBER: 2252116

Check the power cord to ensure it is connected to the power supply and the treadmill if the power does not stay on or does not turn on. Look at the circuit breaker, located near the base of the unit, to see if the circuit was tripped. Push the switch back in to reset the circuit.

  • 2 Take the key out of the console, wait a minute and place it back in the console to resolve issues with the power turning on and off during use or if the console displays are not functioning properly.
  • 3 Remove the console key and press the "Stop" button to turn off the "Demo" mode, which is often the default setting when the treadmill is first purchased.
  • 4 Reset the incline by holding down the "Stop" and "Speed increase" buttons and putting in the console key. Release the buttons and then press the "Stop" button, followed by the down or up arrows for the incline. This step can be taken if errors are occurring with the incline function.
  • 5 Turn the treadmill "Off" and unplug the unit if errors continue. Wait five minutes and then plug the unit back on, insert the console key, and turn the treadmill "On." This will reset the treadmill and should return to normal funcTION

The central air turns on, but does not cool. The fan outside of the house is not moving. Is there a switch I need to use to turn the outside fan on?

There should be an electrical box next to your exterior unit. Open it up and there should be a pull handle on an electrical bridge. Usually when it is turned one way it will make an electrical connection and if it is rotated 180 degrees and plugged in it won't make an electrical connection.

Oull the fuses out of the disconnect by the condensing unit. Then, reset the breaker. Does the breaker stay on? If so, your incoming power to the unit is OK. If it trips, you have a short somewhere. If your OK with power from the breaker to the unit, you have a direct short somewhere at your unit. At that point, it could be a wire has rubbed and is arcing to ground or compressor might have fried the windings. If your in the ladder group, you'll need to call and HVAC tech to troubleshoot your problem.

Unit will not turn on when Electric current is on

There is no power to the unit, the power is fed from a spur switch which is usually placed next to the unit, it comes with a fuse. The spur switch is also fed from the MCB or the consumer unit which contains all the fuses supplying power to the appliances in the house.
Usually they are clearly marked, look for the one that supplies power to the air conditioner and check whether the circuit breaker is ON or OFF. If is off switch it on and if the breaker stays on, you have power and you can try switching on your unit and hopefully if there is no fault on the unit it should start up.
On the other hand if the circuit breaker doesn't stays on and it trips back automatically, am afriad there is an earth fault in the unit you need to call an experct to come and check the unit.
If the Breker stays on but the unit does not power up, check the fuse in the switch spur and if you dont have the test instrument to check the fuse, just replace it with a new one with the same amps rating that you are 100% sure that its working.Remember to press the reset button which is the safety device between the power cord and the unit.
    Good luck.
