I downloaded fix it7 from avanquest,and Love it, but I recieved email activation code and installation didnt ask 4 code and now I can't use it till I give code. I don't know where to type it.Help Please, Thank You. Ruth

Contact (the products) tech support, and ask them how to fully remove and re-install the product. They may also give you a new code if it has been somehow compromised.

I cannot recieve emails


Get the information of port numbers of (pop3, imap, http, smtp) form one of the active machine that you have. I don't know which mail client you are using. But you should get it form accounts and settings. Port numbers should be the same for each machine for the same mail server. You have to check incoming and outgoing mail server address.

If everything is correct compare to other active machine, please check firewall and antivirus settings. newly installed firewall or antivirus also blocks sometimes.
If you have sill problems, send your problems details, like which operating system you are using, which mail client you have and information of ports number for mail server, mail server address. With which antivirus you have installed and the time you are facing problems.

Note: do not post username or password of your account.

I didnt open my mail id for previous 6 mnth.wen i entered my correct mail id n passwrd its not accepting it...its like invalid address..kindly help me..its my only one offical id which i ve given to all..


some email services close email accounts when they've not had any activity on them for that many months, contact the email service & ask them if your email account has been closed

I want to install Kaspersky Anti virus


iKaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 It is recommended to close all applications before the installation.
Before you begin to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 on your computer, make sure that you have removed (uninstalled) your previous antivirus software.
If you are installing using the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 CD, please skip to Step 2. If you have purchased your software online, follow Step 1 to download it.
Click the download link provided in your order email to begin the download process. You will be asked to Run, Save or Cancel the download. Click Save.
  • The web browser will ask you where to save the file. Select where you want to locate the file and click the Save button.
  • The download process will begin, and depending on the speed of your Internet connection can take up to an hour.
  • When the download completes, click Run.
  • You may receive a warning that the publisher could not be verified. Click Run.

Step 2 - Install Process:
  • You will briefly see the install process copy the installation files to your computer. Wait for the process to finish.
  • The install process will check if there is a newer version online and download it if needed.
  • Wait a few seconds. The Setup Wizard will open.
  • In the welcome window of the Setup Wizard you can choose one of the following types of installation:
    • Express installation - full program installation with recommended by Kaspersky Lab experts settings (Custom installation in the left lower corner is not checked).
    • Custom installation - installation with the possibility to choose which program features to install (Custom installation in the left lower corner is checked). You will be able also to activate the application by special wizard. It is recommended for advanced users.
  • In order to start the Express installation click the Next button.
  • Read the license agreement. If you agree with all the terms, then click the I agree button. The installation continues. In order to stop the installation click Cancel.
  • The Setup Wizard offers to participate in Kaspersky Security Network. If you participate in the program, then Kaspersky Lab will receive information about new threats, detected on your computer, system information and send unique identification which is specified for your computer by Kaspersky Anti-Virus. Your personal data is not collected. Read the Data Collection Statement about using Kaspersky Security Network. If you agree with all the terms, check I accept the terms of participation in Kaspersky Security Network. Click the Install button. The installation continues.
  • The install process copies files and adds registry values. Wait until the process completes.

You may see the following notification from the Windows Security Center that there are problems with your computer:

This is normal and will automatically resolve itself after the process completes. The Windows Security Center messages will go away when Kaspersky Anti-Virus will be updated and have the latest databases.
Step 3 - Configuration Wizard:
Having copied the files the Setup Wizard offers to activate Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010. You will be offered the following options of activation:

  • Activate commercial license - a 20-digit activation code should be entered (e.g. XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX). Your computer should be connected to the Internet to activate the product. The Setup Wizard will download and install a key file automatically.
  • Activate trial license. The Setup Wizard will download and install a key file which is 30 days valid. Your computer should be connected to the Internet to activate the product. Trial version is fully-functioning, however when a trial period expires the anti-virus databases will not be updated.
info1.gifIf the option Activate trial license is missed, it means the trial version a) was already installed or b) is installed now.
  • Activate later. If you choose this option, the Kaspersky Anti-Virus activation stage will be skipped. The application will be installed on your computer, all its options will be available to you, except for the update.
In order to activate a commercial version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010, perform the following actions:
  • select Activate commercial license.
  • In the field Enter the activation code enter the activation code you obtained when purchasing the license. An activation code should be entered from the keyboard in Latin ONLY without any hyphens. The program calculates the number of entered symbols and automatically adds a hyphen where necessary.
If you are not asked to activate, the wizard has detected your existing valid license.
  • The Setup Wizard will connect with the Kaspersky Lab server and will download a license key file. Please, wait while the wizard activates your Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010.
  • After the license is activated, you will see the License type and Expiration date. Click Next.
  • The installation and activation processes are now complete. Click Finish to open Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010.

Remove infection in my computor which was downloaded or recieved


Hey welcome to fixya. i hope u 'll be fine.
To remove the infections from your PC u have to install an anti virus. The best anti virus i recommend is AVG 9. The latest version of AVG is 9. so u have to search it and install on ur PC. its free of cost just u have to download it and its easily availible on different sites. After downloading install it on your PC. when it 'll be installed open it there is option of residential shield in it. if it is not active, active it after it click on scan computer, it 'll take some time and 'll scan your whole PC. in the end of scanning click on remove all the infections and 'll remove all the infections and viruses of your PC.

Ym avatar asking to install macromedia flash player


Ok what you need to do is click where it ask for you to install the flash player it will say it can't do it so click on manually, then you will be redirected to the compatible flash player you need. after the install it should automatically restart firefox. Sometimes you will recieve and error that says close firefox and try again. just close all windows that are firefox downloads window to and click try again repeatedly until it goes through. there you have it fixed avatar

there to ways how to access your email

first ask your email provider about the webmail address so you can access your mail anyware.

second you can access your email and download it using email manager(outlook exppress) and you need to ask all the information from your email provider,Most email provider guide their user about the settings.

My outlook express email will not send and recieve emails i have entered the correct account settings i cannot activate my email.


Check if you did it well first checking this link:

After that be sure about your the NAMES of your mail server (POP3 incomming - SMTP outgoing)
Also check your name account and password.

Verify that (name and pass) with your internet provider.

If still no working ask to your internet provider to check with you your settings, or assign a new password to your account (normally reseting the pass by your provider fix the problem).
