SOURCE: I need to know how to remove the stainless steel burners and replace them.

Call Weber to receive free warrenty burners. Have model and serial number found inside one of the doors on your grill. I just received them in the mail about a week ago and just replaced my burners today. Here is what I did.

Remove the grates and burner heat deflectors. There are 4 screws on the knob panel, 2 on the left and 2 on the right. Remove the screws and pull back about a inch or two. I found it helpful to open all the doors a bit to rest the panel on them. The burners should remove easily once this is done. Replace the burner tubes and be sure tubes have holes facing up on the one side for correct heat distribution. When placing the knob panel back on, make sure that burner tubes go onto the gas control knob correctly. Replace screws on the knob panel.

The best way to install these burners is to get a vice grip/pliers and bend the end of the burner where the screws can be placed. If you notice on that end there appears to be a section where it will bend without impacting the integrity of the burner itself. It will bend enough for you to place the burner in its place. Once installed, bend back and screw in the screws to hold in place.

SOURCE: How do I remove the old burners to replace with new?

Should be as easy as removing the screws at the ends of the tubes and sliding the tubes away from you and putting the new ones in like you took out the old ones.

Second third and fourth burner will not light?

Susan, there are several reasons that can cause the problem you described. The first being that theburners that won't light need to be removed and thoroughly cleaned. The cleaning also requires cleaning the Venturi Valve on each burner. The Venturi Valve will look like 2 slots cut into the side of each burner tube near the burner's open end, that fits over the burner orifice. Spiders like to build nest in the Venturi Valves. Be sure to turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank, before attempting any work on the grill. After you have finished cleaning everything, reconnect the hose to the tank and open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow), until it is fully open.
Then light the burner farthest from the tank first and turn it to HIGH. If the flame height kooks correct, light the remaining burners the same way. If all the burners lit and the flame heights look correct, you solved the problem (with a little help).

Hope this helped you. Please let me know and Happy Grilling!!

How do you open venturi tubes to clean?

If you remove the burners, the Venturi Tube is part of the open end of the burner that fits over the burner orifice. It should look like a slot on each side of the burner. There's really nothing to open, once the burner is removed.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

The burners do not light consistenly. I can see the igniter spark and the fuel supply is good. If the igniter does work the main burners may not light until I creat a draft then the burner takes off.

It sounds as if, the burners need to be removed and thoroughly cleaned. As do the Venturi valves on the open end of each burner. Spiders like to build nests in the Venturi openings and clog them up. It's a prat of Routine Maintenance, takes a little time to perform, but is not difficult to do. It does require removing the burner knobs and the control panel cover (which was a poor design by Ducane/Weber)

To help make this a little easier for you, I have included a link to a Ducane Stainless Steel Model Grill that will show you how to remove the burners. Pay particular attention to the Annual Maintenance section starting on page 21. You can download and print this manual for future reference.

How do you remove the venturi tubes of a Blue Ember Gas Grill? The manual explains how to clean the venturi tubes, but it doesn't say how to remove the tubes for cleaning. The manual just says...

The venturi tubes are part of the burner. It"s a slot on both sides of the burner tube, where it goes over the burner orifice. You will need to remove the burners to check and clean them.

Hope this helped answer your question.

I started up the barbecue for the first time to get all of the winter crud off, and when I start it only the outside burners will flame, the middle one asks like its starting but then burns out?

Probably some of the winter crud has clogged the burner and or the venturi valve. Remove the burner, clean it and check the venturi valve for spider build-up. Wouldn't hurt to check the burner orifice too.

The Venturi tubes are part of the burner, where it goes over the burner orifice. You can remove the burner(s) by disengaging them from the burner holder. Which should be at the inner rear of the grill's burner compartment. Then the burner will slide off the burner orifice.

FYI - A couple of years ago, there was a massive recall on the Fiesta Blue Ember Model grill. Don't know if your is old enough to fit that category. So I have included a link to the Consumer reports Website, that liist the Serial Number of those involved.

How to clean a gas grill with clogged jets

You can take the burners out of the grill, and if you can get to the orifices, they will hopefully unscrew. You can use canned air and a pipe cleaner to clear any blockages. If you can't get to the jets after taking out the burners, you will have to do further disassembly of the grill. When you have the burners out you might also check for any blockage in the burner venturis.

The gas flow cannot be raised and a slight breeze puts out the fl

The new gas grills have a safety device built into the gas hose that can cause this problem until you get familiar with it. The flame on a gas grill should be blue. If you have a yellow flame it could be caused by a couple of different problems. First of all the burner might be worn out. If you have an older grill then you should inspect the burner to make sure that there are no cracks or holes and that all the burner holes are the same size. If you have a newer grill or burner, or your burner appears to be fine then the problem might be with the regulator. The regulator is a round metal object near the connector to your gas supply. Sometimes regulators get stuck. This can reduce the gas flow, make a yellow flame and keep your grill from getting hot. To solve a stuck regulator, turn off the fuel supply to your grill. Disconnect the main connector and open the grills control value. This will eliminate any pressure on the regulator. Sometimes this will reset the regulator, but sometimes they stay stuck. Take a small hard object like the handle of a screwdriver and give the regulator a gentle tap. Now you can reconnect everything and see how your grill works now. If you still have a yellow flame your propane tank might be low, the regulator may need replacing or you could have a blockage in the venturi tubes. So check your fuel level by pouring hot, not boiling water down the side of the tank. Feel along the side where you poured the water. The propane level is where the tank feels cold. If you have plenty of fuel, locate the venturi tubes. The venturi tubes are located along fuel lines right behind the control valves. These allow air to mix with the fuel before reaching the burners so they have a small open space. If that space is blocked it will restrict the fuel flow to the burner. Make sure it is clear of obstruction. If you have done all this and still have a yellow flame you may need to look at replacing

H Burner replacement

There are aftermarket cast iron burners available for approx $64.95. Otherwise, the OEM burner is a Dynachrome which is a chrome plated cast iron that is almost $300. I do not believe that the cast stainless is still available.
