Question about Canon PIXMA MP160 All-In-One InkJet Printer
(I am assuming in the following instructions "Power" button means "On/Off" button...correct?).
If so, when I "press the power button" while "pressing and holding the Stop/Reset button" the printer simply turns off. What part of this fix am I doing wrong?
1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding
the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power LED is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.

First, download the software at http://www.box.net/shared/4yblbn34kg
Secondly, to run the software your printer has to be in service mode. Do that by
- unplug cable
- press and hold "power" button
- plug cable
- press "resume" and release
- release the "power" button
At this stage, your computer will detect a new hardware
Run the software.

Did you turn off the switch, but leave the printer plugged in.?
