If circuit breaker tripped off for second times do not re-set the circuit breaker and switch ON. Theres might be short circuited in the source line of your ac. Also check the status of compressor, windings might insulation failure, capacitor or fan motor short circuited or grounded. If you don't know how to do this, pls. call qualified technician.

Heater works but trips after a minute

Hello
If u have 2 kinds of trip circuits
1) regular over current trip then there maybe a problem withthe mcb itself, so try another location that does not use that trip or higher amps trip .
2) if u have an mcb with special trip that also makes sure there is not leakage to the ground of toaster , then some toasters get the leakage after some time .

Big ben moonbeam alarm not sounding

The later alarm trip assemblies - the one in which the cam on the trip staff is a steel disc with a cutout, and the trip wheel is steel with a stamped out projection - can be troublesome. I had so much trouble with these parts on a 1970 Big Ben leg model reproduction that I replaced them with the old style trip assembly having the brass finger on the trip staff and a brass trip wheel. This solved the problem of the trip staff being carried around with the trip wheel.

Chainsaw trips circuit breaker

Does the circuit breaker trip before squeezing the switch? Check the power cord - there's a short

Does the chain move freely before squeezing the switch? If not, and the circuit breaker trips while squeezing the switch, your chain is too tight.

Bottom line - tell us when the breaker trips and what you were doing when it tripped.

I have a toyota corrolla 2004 an is showing trip A on the dashboard. Does that mean is time for a timebelt?

Trip A is the mileage you have driven since the Trip A was last reset. Trip B is the mileage you have driven since the Trip B was last reset. To reset the Trip A or Trip B mileage select either the trip a or trip b mileage, hold down the select/reset button until the mileage turns to 0.

There will be more info on this in your owners manual. If you do not have one you can take a couple of minutes to register an account on the Toyota.com website, enter your vehicle info, and you will be able to view online PDF versions of your owners manual.

Breaker installed on generator. Keeps tripping under no load after approx. 1 minute of generator running

A tripping circuit breaker is an indication of an overload. You say there is no load on the breaker - how are you making this determination? Are you using an amprobe or some other meter?

A circuit breaker with NO load shouldn't ever trip. Likewise a circuit breaker carrying up to 80% of of the current it is rated for shouldn't trip either. Circuit breakers that carry more than 80% of their load will trip - if the load remains connected long enough. This is called "duty factor" or "service factor" The greater the load is in excess of 80%, the less time that the breaker will carry it before tripping.

An example of a 100 amp breaker with different loads on it (this 100 amp value was chosen for ease of doing the math):

80 amps - never trips
85 amps - trips after 48 hours
90 amps - trips after 16 hours
95 amps - trips after 8 hours
100 amps - trips after 4 hours
105 amps - trips after a few minutes
120 amps - trips after a few seconds
150 amps - trips instantly

This is only an example to show how a certain circuit breaker might trip under a load less than the rating stamped on the body or handle.

A circuit breaker that trips with no load or a load equal to or less than 80% of its rating is most likely defective. You need an amprobe or ammeter for amp readings. If the load is found to be 80% or less, there may be an issue of harmonics that is causing the tripping. You'll need to have special equipment and qualified persons to check harmonic problems. Most harmonic problems occur when the loads are not linear device (transformers). Examples of non-linear devices are "switching" (or solid state) power supplies like those in computers.

I hope this helps and good luck. Please rate my reply. Thank you.

I have had my whirlpool dryer about 4yrs + (geq9800pw2) has always worked fine. Last week it started tripping ckt breaker toward the end of drying cycle. As of this morning, it blows ckt breaker...

leave off the oven and a/c breakers and plug dryer and reset the breaker. if not tripping occurs then one at a time trip back the oven first. if no trip then trip off again and trip the a/c. if no trip then trip the oven back. if trip you may have a wire problem. if dryer trip any way then possibly you have a short in dryer. check the heating element wires, power cord at the dryer side(terminal block).
