Channel 4 4oD doesn`t work with Flash Player!

I installed the latest Flash player and then installed Channel 4`s 4On Demand television service to watch their archive of programmes.
But the 4oD player clashes with the Flash player - giving me a 1904 error message.
They tried to help (see image) but nothing has worked.
Can you help?
Your time much appreciated.
Art.

Their instructions:
"Windows Vista
1. Download and Run the file from the link below:
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/uninstall_flash_player.exe then follow the instructions, including any User Account Control prompts which appear
2. Download and Run the file from the link below:
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_active_x.msi
then follow the instructions, including any User Account Control prompts which appear
3. Open your Start Menu.
4. Under “Start Search”, type cmd.
5. cmd.exe should appear in the results box.
6. Right-click on cmd.exe and select “Run as Administrator”.
7. Follow any User Account Control prompts which appear.
8. In the cmd window, type in:
regsvr32 c:windowssystem32macromed lash lash9e.ocx
9. Press Enter
You will then receive a configuration message.
(If you get an error code 0x80070005 then you need to ensure that you used ‘Run as Administrator’ to launch the cmd window)."

**When I tried this the flash9e.ocx file could not be found. Sure enough, when I dug into the system files it wasn`t there. I`ve tried reinstalling Flash but still no 9e.ocx file. There is a file flash9f.ocx

I am using Firefox the latest version and connot get Adobe Flash, the latest version, to function. What am I doing wrong?

Uninstall your flash from the Add/Remove Program menu in the Control Menu. Try installing flash again. Sometime the flash player have issue installing correctly. Make sure you download the flash player directly from Adobe's site. Normally, if the player is installed correctly it will play a very short video on Adobe's site to verify the player is working properly.

When typing for email, the cursor turns into a wheel and freezes screen often

Try to update the Flash Player first.... and then try the process again. If updating the flash doesn't help, update the browser itself to the most recent one.

In my opinion, latest google chrome will be helpful to you, just because, it contains the flash player inside it (you don't have to install it separately) and will update itself whenever an update of the flash player is available, so that you don't have to worry about the browser and flash player.

You can download the latest version of flash here: get.adobe.com/flashplayer

You can have the latest google chrome here: www.google.com/chrome

If none of the solutions helps you, report it by commenting over this reply.

Hope this helps, Mrityunjay

Adobe flash player wont install

Try uninstalling the adobe flash player and re-installing latest Flash player again. It may have solved your problem.

You can download the latest flash players from here:

1. IE Browsers: http://filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_ie/
2. non_IE browsers: http://filehippo.com/download_flashplayer_firefox/

You should download the compatible (32 or 64 bit) versions as necessary.

If updating the flash players doesn't help you, you should re-install your browser or try another browser, because the problem may be caused by the browser also.

Hope this helps, Mrityunjay.

Check and make sure you have the latest version of Adobe flash installed. Youtube will not play any videos unless you have Flash Player installed.

Party bingo page part loads but cant see rooms just ther colour and it says wate for party bingo page to load but never does has been this way for a week tried ecery thing

Hi, the game loading partially means that the Adobe Flash Player has not been updated or the browser is not supporting it to load the game.

In order to play the Party Bingo.

Please download and install the latest free browser Mozilla Firefox 4 from the below link:

http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/

Then, download and install the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player from the below link:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Please close all the windows of Mozilla Firefox before installing Adobe Flash Player, open the Mozilla Firefox after installing the Adobe Flash Player. Now the
Party Bingo should work!

My farmville game almost 98% but never complete.

Hi.
Based on the information you have provided, it seems that the issue is due to the Adobe Flash Player.
All the Games on Facebook require Adobe Flash player.
Hence, it would be better to install the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player.
Before installing the latest version, it is required to un-install the version which is already installed in the Computer.
Then, install the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player.
You may un-install the older version of the Adobe Flash Player by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature.
Once you have un-installed the older version of the Flash player, then you may install the latest version.
Link to download the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player.
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/10/flashplayer_10_ax_debug.exe
Please click on the above link to download the Adobe Flash Player.
Please un-install the older version of the Flash player and then install the latest one.
Performing the above mentioned steps should resolve the issue.
Hope this helps.
Please feel free to contact for further information and assistance.

I'm trying to download adobe flash player 10 and it wont work. it says installation complete and i still cant access bingo night live or pure play. there saying need flash player. was working fine before

Is your PC running with Win XP with Service Pack 2 or higher? Which browser do you use ( Internet explorer or Mozilla Firefox)
Check out the Add Remove Panel for the Latest installation of
1. Adobe Flash Player ActiveX
2. Adobe Flash Player Plugin

3. Adove Shockwave Player 11

Download it from this weblink: Flash Player

Also check this update for Microsoft

You need to uninstall Java and Adobe Flash Component from PC.

First, it is better to run in "Safe mode with Networking"; by pressing F8 key during Bootup.

After then, Uninstall Java, Then uninstall Adobe Flash component from the control Panel, then reboot PC.
Let me know after this if you are able to download and install the latest version of Java and Flash plugin from the link given:
Java Plugin
Flash Player .
And then reboot PC.
Let me know the status after it.

Ellin
