Question about ViewSonic VX2235WM Monitor
My monitor flickers on and off, just started today havnt had it for that long maybe less then 2 years. it does it while its off or when i logg onto the computer and im using it.
You will need to open the set by removing the screws fromthe back side, before this reduce the contrast and brighness to a lower level and see of this flickering has reduced. If not open carefully, you will see the power and the drive boards. Check on the power smps unit for any loose connection in the Switch mode section, solder if there is any suspected joints.some connectorrs in this section also must be checked and fixed. next check on the drive board, check the connections of the high voltage to the panel, fix the connectors, clean any dirt on the tracks and tighten the connectors. If this do not resolves the issue you will need to power on and test the voltages, find the flickering leading to the circuit in question.replace. Helpful. Good day

Power supply is more than likely going to need some new capictors. if you can solder its not a hard fix. just look at the power supply and look for swollen caps.

Tips for a great answer:
Mar 06, 2011 | Acer AL1916W 19" LCD Monitor
May 15, 2010 | Dell E153FP 15" LCD Monitor
May 11, 2010 | Acer Aspire 6930-6082 Notebook PC
Jan 24, 2010 | Samsung SyncMaster 932GW LCD Monitor
Oct 05, 2009 | HP w1907 LCD Monitor
Jun 14, 2008 | Acer AL2017 20" LCD Monitor
One of 2 possibilities come to mind.
1, The vga chord is loose on the back of the monitor.
2, Your resolution is set too high or low to be displayed.
The blinking light means that the monitor is either not getting or understanding a signal.
Hope this helps.
