My gom player isn't playing correctly as there are some codec files missing, what can i do ? when i play episodes of series , alert box pops out to me saying there are missing codec files and the program will not work properly

you are missing a codecs witch allows your player to read the music track in the video. you are most likely missing the AC3 codecs.http://k-lite-codec-pack_full.en.softonic.com/

Download the latest version of Media Player Classic (K-Lite Codec) FOR FREE
It is a small but a very fine Media Player which also installs all the required CODEC and you can play all audio - video files.

open gom player and press F1 and select update it will be paly all media you need.

it will surely play .asf file.

its not only gom player, every player asks for codec for running verious files weth different extentions which it is unable to run.
I suggest you to get a new version of the player or try vlc updated version.
try downloading new codec packs for your system.

You can't add codecs to GOM Player - they are enbedded.
Use instead VLC, this player truly supports pretty much everything.

there is not a special way for it, you can drag & drop the selected video. But some video file types not work in GOM player, if do you want to play it then update the player with new Codec files
