The OB indicates and out of balance condition has been detected by the motor control.
One thing about the OB error is that the lid must be opened to clear the error and allow the washer to advance to the next part of the cycle. If the lid is not opened to adjust the clothes then the OB error will happen again.

If the OB error was cleared and the OB occurs with an empty load then the motor control has failed.

The drain pump must work. The image below shows how to run a diagnostic test to check the drain pump. Follow the instructions in the image below and check the drain pump operation. If the pump runs and the water does not drain then the sump is clogged. If the pump hums but does not run then the pump needs to be replaced.,wkktswgwqtqrbwfxgtqsskgwtqkq,vi/gftrgbbtfxfffgqskfk/1/1303472/5961857/image48348img-or.jpg

Hi I have an electrolux 7kg ecovalve ewf087 - it first started with the place where I put the washing powder etc filling up with water after the cycle- so I thought I would clean the drain pump filter...

Make sure you put the filter cap on tightly There is a little plastic piece it has to line up with, Recheck all the hoses. Remove the access panel and start the washer see where it is leaking. If you need further assistance please comment me back.

Have ESL6115 Electrolux Dishwasher (Built in). About three quarters thro wash, it trips the RDS circuits. When plugged back in, and switched on, it finishes wash with no further problems. WHY??

I have the same problem. The water riser pipe at the back right corner of the machine leaks where the pipe goes through the stainless steel wall of the machine at the top, you can see the end of the pipe from inside the machine as a grey threaded plastic nut. The water runs down the back and collects in the bottom. This only happens when the water is being pumped into the machine to circulate through the washer as the water is under pressure.

The breaker will trip when a leakage to earth or a short circuit is detected caused by the water, my machine has actually been flashing over in one place by the short curcuit caused from the water, the flash over vapourises the water so that when the breaker is reset the machine runs for a while longer before doing the same thing.

The pipe and/or seal needs to be replaced to stop the leak and then it should be ok again. However if water ingress has been a problem for some time other components may be affected. Best have it checked by a pro if this is the case.

I have a hotpoint aquarious which has started leaking due to a 20p piece which has managed to get lodged in the plastic tub and is visible when you take the back off the washing machine. The question is is...

the leak of water is important so it must to be fixed and it will be easy for atechnition to reach the place of coin>
if you want to do that by your self you must to disconnect electricity and close of water inlet
then easy reach to this place of coin but not damge the tub

Water leaking

Plug off the wall mains socket. Surely there is a problem with your inlet valve. Open up the top. Either you have breakage in the plastic tubes or you have a defective valve. The water is not supposed to fill when you turn the water on; it is to fill when you switch the machine on. It can easily be changed by you; while you are at it check to see that the small filter screen on machine end and on hoses are cleaned, there could be some debris there. Fit carefully & check for leaks.

Leaking washing machine

It leaksYour washer can develop several types of leaks. You can track down a leak based on when it occurs:

During fill only
During drain and spin only
All the time

During fill only
If the washer leaks only during the fill cycle, check these:

Air-gap device -The air gap is a small device found on most washers that prevents the wash water from being siphoned into the household water supply. It's located either mid-way along or at the end of the black rubber hose that comes from the water-inlet valve. Often it's made of translucent plastic. If one of the air-gap components deforms or cracks, you may need to replace it.

The tube -There's a rubber tube that runs between the water-inlet valve and either the air-gap or the inlet spout. If it cracks or breaks, it can cause a leak.

Inlet spout -Most washers have a plastic spout near the top of the main clothes tub that directs the water into the tub. If the spout cracks or breaks free of its mounting, it can cause a leak.

During drain and spin only
A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem you find. Alternatively, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. This may be most visible during large loads and high water levels. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

All the time
If the washer leaks all the time, check these:

Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate.

Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician.

Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it.

Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

The banging is most likely caused by failing shock absorbers ( there are two plastic shock absorbers inside the back cover that usually keep the tub from thrashing around. It is not unusual for these to fail). Get someone to remove the back cover plate - essentially the one piece back plate held on by screws- and (carefully) view the machine in motion. The shock absorbers are the white 1" 'sticks' on either side of the drum. One or both may be broken or lost their dampening capability. These are reasonably easily replaced (DIY) and cost about $35-$55 online for a pair. You can take each one out and inspect it to confirm it is damaged or doesnt dampen motion.

There are lots of places to leak from and viewing the leak while the machine is operating is the best approach. Again , you can do this from the back if you take off the metal panel. Be careful and you can turn the timer to individual steps in the cycle to speed up the isolation of the problem, and turn it off when appropriate.
Another way to find the leaking problem if the amount of water is small, is to push a piece of newspaper under the front of the washing machine all the way to the back. Then keep pulling it out during the cycles and see where on the paper the leak is (front, sides, back, center, etc). This can be done without moving the washer and will provide insight into what component is leaking.
You should also feel around the external water hose connections to see if they are dripping... this is usually the #1 cause and is easily fixed by tightening the hose connector.

This is boot retainer. DO NOT CONTINUE USING. If water gets on electrics it can be dangerous. Also may cause further damage. These sometimes come off if unit shakes too much. As in broken shocks.
