You have probably lost the frequency settings on the memory when the battery was replaced. Please follow carefully the way to set up your memory once again. swittch on the radio, scan for manual/ auto as desired. if the signals are strong you can scan/seek search and memorise. if not scan and select the channel location and press the preset button to store according to your need. Also chose the clock setting and set the time by scrolling, shift to the next digit and set. Hope this advice helps. Good day

    Hi,

I have the same issue. The radio gets power (the cd eject button is the only button the radio responds to). The display isn't showing anything, and the radio just won't do anything. The manual is completely useless for this. Any help would be great!

You would only need to reenter the code if your battery went dead or was disconnected. THen the unitl would likely say "CODE". If it is completely dead, located you fuse panel and check/replace the fuse for the radio/tape deck.

Sounds very much like two possibles a short in the fuse box to the non working parts or your battery went dead and was recharged and you did not reset these items. As what U mention all sound like the equipment that needs to be reset when you change a battery or it goes dead.

Radio dead after battery failure. possible anti theft code required?

Yes, alot of cars have this feature. It is a anti-theft feature so if it is removed you need a code to unlock the radio (or if the battery is unpluged). If it's an after market deck than it should be in the manual if no manual than try googling it. If it is the factory deck than more than likly you will have to go back to the dealer to get the code. Good luck.

look in your user manual for this fix. when the battery went dead the deck went into default mode. if this is standard deck for the vehicle it should be in your owners guide. please rate this

those are odd numbers you decribed there
i understand what your saying to get the even numbers you have to use the remote and single click to what you want and if you want to stop a seek for frequencie hit the button back
you know foward select for scan and then back button for stop and then single press in what you need it takes a little fenness to control for even even numbers you just have to stop scan and seek single taps at a time

DEH-1900MP - lost functionallity after disconect/connect batery

Yes for some radio's if you take away power it has a theft lock and will not let you back in except if you have the code. To reset you must take power away from it. I would suggest if you don't want to take cd player out of car then disconnect battery. then when reconnect eject. May have to set for a moment.
