SOURCE: jenn air jcd2389g side by side refrigerator water leak

sounds like a leak where your incoming water line hooks to the water valves might just need to tighten the coupling or a mouse has chewed through one or both of the lines access the lines on the back and watch while some one gets water out the door to locate the leak

SOURCE: Why must I NOT rapidly restart a refrigerator or freezer ?

not an expert here but the same thing applies to air con , so it must be something to do with the freezing in the pipework and overworking the compressor , funny thing is how come the same thing doesnt apply to car air cons [where you turn off and on in short bursts]

Hi,

Its time for you to seek a certified service personal as this sounds like a seal system issue. If the compressor is running and the fan are running, its possible you lost the freon charge and it will need to be confirmed. Most unit are repairable but will cost to do this. If you have any dislikes about this unit, its time to consider the replacement of this unit. If the size and features are your reason for this unit to survive this can be done. Rough estimate could run 800 or so. This estimate is base on the unknowns and untested possible issues. This could be cheaper but with out testing the reason I can only guess. I hope this helps.

I have a jenn air side by side and water seems to be leaking near the front left corner area at random times and when it does leak it is a slow drip.... thoughts?

Look in the freezer floor to see if you have ice built up and over flowing into the floor. If so you have a clogged drain line which is located in the freezer behind the lower basket in the litttle gap at the bottom of the back wall. If you don't have that, the water line that runs to the water in the door is located at the front left side as well and you can get to that by pulling off the bottom piece of plastic that runs along the bottom of the whole machine.

JFC2087HRP Jenn-Air freezer creaking noise.

Most of the time this happen when the refrigerator has been hooked up to the water, and than you unhooked it!!, the water that is in the hose makes that sound when it's pushed by the air in the hose. that's a typical problem when you unhooked the water.

Side by side freezer door pops open

This is a problem inherent with lots of refrigerators. Side by side or top freezer. The rush of air pops the doors. You might want to adjust the pitch of the box by adjusting the front wheels to a higher level.

Jenn air refrigerator problem

Couple things to check first is that your evaporator fan motor is running, located in the back of your freezer. open the door and listen for the fan some work on the door switch make sure you depress the switch to check it. If the fan is not running more than likely you need a new fan. The second thing is just look at the back of the freezer compartment and look for a layer of heavey frost if there is heavey frost then your defrost is not working, will need to manually defrost and probably replace the defrost terminator part of the heater assymbly
