Question about Cuisinart SmartPower BFP703CHFR 7Speed Blender
I have a Cuisinart Smart Power 7-speed blender... I think the model is SPB-7CH The fan that attaches to the motor shaft has come loose. It makes all kinds of noise, and likely does not cool the motor at all. If I just remove it, it's quiet, but I assume the motor will overheat and limit usable life. Any suggestions how to reattach? It looks like it was press fit, and loosened over time.

The thermal fuse is blown. You can buy a replacement from RadioShack for $1.69 You have to remove the old one and solder in the new one. If youre "handy" its very easy. Take it to a repair shop, you pay about the same as a new one. Its too bad that most electronics made today are cheaper to throw away and buy a new one rather than fix them when they break.
