Question about AT&T CL82209 Cordless Phone

1 Answer

Okay I have an at&t brand CL82209. The one with the big main base and the little other one. So the main base works and its fine and all but we need the second one for our other room in the office and it's apparently receiving power but not working because the other phone just says connecting... And is nonresponsive.

There is a simple FIX here:
From the "Connecting...." handset, type *331734# then hit MENU button.
Boom..... handset should now read "NOT REGISTERED"
Now you're ready to follow the manual directions:

  • Place handset on main base
  • Hold "Handset Locator" button until red light solid
  • Remove handset and then place back on base
  • Handset should now be registered
You're done!

Thank you! I had bought the CL82209 unit but the base stopped functioning after a few months. Since it was under warranty, AT&T asked me to send them just the base (and not the headsets) for repair. In return, I received an entirely new, complete unit (headsets and all). So now four headsets but the original two did not pair with the new base unit until I found the solution listed above. Worked like a charm on the older headsets and now all four of them are paired! Thanks again!

I had to purchase a new AT&T cordless phone system since my last set was destroyed by lightening. My old system was CL82409 and my new system is CL82209. I have 3 expandable handsets from the old...

According to the manual starting on page 52, you need to de-register all handsets then re-register the handsets one at a time. The manual covers both cordless model numbers so the handsets should be interchangeable. I have included a link where you can download the manual if you need it.

What size main breaker do I need for a 125 amp panel?

Hi,
You can install anything, up to a 125 amp. Just do not go any higher amperage then that. Anything lower will work just fine but will limit the current to the amount of the size of the breaker.

if the jack out side works okay, that indicates that the pre amp is fine. the sound on the pre amp is tapped before the main amplifier.
check the main amplifier ic in side if it is getting hot.
you need to charge that ic.
okay

Basicly my speakers were working fine, my subs were working fine but everytime i was turning my volume up to a certain level i would lose all base and all noise from the subs in my boot, so i turned it...

The amp should always light up showing you that it is powered and there will also be a red light that will light up if theres something wrong.Sounds like maybe the hot wire that goes to the amp isnt big enough to give the amp enough power.Check your positive wire and ground wire for tightness and make sure hot wire supply is big enough and also the ground wire is big enough and has a good ground.I hope this Helps you.Have A great day..

Main breaker tripping

get acceess or rent an amp clamp meter with a "max hold" and clamp it on each line wire coming into the box (if you're not experienced in this hire an electrician being tht it can kill you if not done correctly and safely) when it blows check amps to each "leg" and see if it is over 200 amps. if it is under, the main breaker should be replaced . If it is over, clamp it on the "hot" side of each
circuit that you suspect may be pulling too much. If this all comes out ok, have the main service connections to the main breaker checked for being tight. This is a last resort, but I'
ve seen them heat up from being loose and then throw the main. The over all amps could be pulling too much, but it takes alot of things running at the same time to throw a 200 amp main.

Goodd luck!

Amp staying in protection mode

No, this amp is not a heavy power consumer- matter of fact it takes very little power to run.Maybe you should check the fuses on the amp to see if they are what is recommended. Also check your fuse kit to your amp- your fuse might not be big enough. If neither works take it back where u got it.
