You can recover lost photos, videos from memory card or memory stick of your camcorder with this 1. Do not save any new photos and videos into the memory card or memory stick. 2. Connect the memory card or memory stick with computer. You should see it shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer. 3. Download recovery software, recommended one is Tenorshare Data Recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked) http://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/datarecoverystandard.htm 4. Install and open the program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your lost photos and videos.

Hello, sorry to hear of your memory stick problem, I take it that you have used this one lots of times before yes? if not and it was indeed a new one it should have had a format done on it before use. If it was not formatted the pics you put on it will be lost I am sad to say.
Is it the SD memory card? or the Micro HDD(4GB) you're pertaining to. In case of micro hdd not detected or error, micro hdd socket(CF) assembly has a problem most likely, need to be replaced. SD card; check your SD card's capacity, it can handle only up to 2GB or try to format your card elsewhere and re insert it again in your camcorder, if it will prompt you "FORMAT SD CARD?" you're lucky
