In Hp Photosmart Essential 2.5 when I go into the edit photo screen: My picture in just about out of the screen on the right. The Phot Fix direction are on the left side of the screen. I can't move my photo to the left to work with. I've used the scroll bar, and everything I can think of, but if I scroll so I can see my picture, my photo fix dissapears to the left. Can you help me Betty Wager b.wager@mchsi.com

You could try using a different imaging software to first reduce the size of your picture, like Microsoft Photoeditor, that usually comes along with the Microsoft Office suite..

I can not open Photosmart Essential. The program was abruptly ended and now will not let me open. I get a mircrosoft error report

You may want to try reinstalling the PSE software, this would most likely fix any corrupt files in the application itself. Your data should remain safe with this procedure also...

Post your results from the reinstall or any errors you receive under this thread so that I can follow up with you.

Cant take pictures on webcam

  1. Double-click the HP Photosmart Essential icon on the Windows desktop.
  2. Select View>Get images>From Scanner. The Select Device dialog box appears.
  3. Select HP Camera and then click OK.
  4. A warning appears to indicate that the device isn’t a scanner. Click Yes.
  5. Click Capture to take a picture (snapshot).
  6. Click Transfer to save the picture in the My Documents/My Scans/<Current Month> folder.
Now you are ready to edit and share your photos with HP Photosmart Essential.

CD LOST OF HP DESKJET 3845

HP.com/Support>HP Deskjet 3845 Color Inkjet Printer>Drivers & Software Downloads>Pick your Operating System,
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=372330&
You didn't state what Operating System you are using. I'm going to pick Vista to use as an example,

There is no full feature software and driver package for Vista. However there is a basic driver, and a workaround. Here, http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01655752&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=372330&os=2093&lang=en

If you have Windows XP, here is the driver, and the HP Essential software,
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=372330
First download the driver, (IN DOING all of this, DO NOT have the printer plugged into the computer, and have the printer turned off)
Click on -> HP Deskjet Full Feature software/driver: USB cable
(Size is 14.41MB)
It will go to your desktop screen. Double-click on it. If a window comes up that states Extraction Wizard, go up to the top right, and click on -> Extract All Files. Follow the instructions. Look for a file that has -> Setup, or a file that ends in -> .exe

It may ask you if you want to restart your computer at this time.
NO! Not yet!
Now download this for the same page as above,
HP Photosmart Essential Software for Photo Editing, Printing, and Sharing (Size is 6.19MB)
Follow the same instructions as I gave above.

Would appreciate a follow up to see if this 'cured' your problem.
Have a nice day.

I'd like to learn how to edit the photos we have online and put the ones we like into a folder.

do you want to resize and crop etc? if so you can right click the file on the web page over the picture once you are in full size view of the photo in question and click save to disk. save it in my documents/my pictures. you can then edit the pictures by going to start menu clicking on my pictures and selecting the photo right click on it and select "edit" you can then resize it with microsoft paint. it is a free program that comes with windows click on help and then search for "resize" or "crop" for simple instructions on how to do this.
