Question about HP Computers & Internet
My synaptic pointing device stop working (my touch pad)...I think I might of disabled it by accident...How do i fix it???It say unable to connect to synaptic device...It say`s not able to connect to synaptic pointing device...
Since you do not specify the model number for your HP laptop one cannot be too specific. On my Toshiba laptop activation and deactivation of the touch pad is enacted by pressing the Fn-F9 sequence.
The actual Function key to press after the Fn key might have the picture of a touch pad on it. Examine tour laptop keyboard.

Thank you for your reply. It is actually very informative and simple. I do have a synaptic pointing device problem as well. I dont have any problem with my touchpad but rather with the synaptic driver which ceased working. I looked in the control panel " mouse" properties and everything seems ok...the driver is installed and update. I also checked msconfig.exe and saw that it was also scheduled to start working on start-up.
So what the heck do i miss ?
