Question about Mitsubishi WS-55809 55" Rear Projection Television
If you turn it off for a while it stops flashing but will continue after a while.
This might be as simple as a button acting up on the front of the tv. Specifically the "AV RESET" button. Push the buttons a bunch of times to excercise them and free any locked buttons. This failure is common and a good place to start.
