Use a hair dryer to heat it and try spraying some silicone spray such as WD 40 around the tracks. Something has dried and caused it to stick. Try removing the top of the drawer from the frig. It you can, it will be a lot easier to un-stick
You should NEVER spray WD-40 into any lock. WD-40 is not a lubricant. It will attract dust and dirt and make the problem worse. You are much better off using a true penetrating oil spray (available at any auto part store). I would higly recommend throwing out our WD-40 as there is rarely a good use for it. Penetrating oils, and spray silicone are so much better to use. In my humble opinion, of course.
as for your door locks, your key fob may have been misprogrammed when you removed the battery. refer to owners manual to reset your locking options on your key fobs. as fot the door open light, try spraying a silicone based product into the inside door lock mechanisms. silicone spray is much better than wd 40.
Use a screwdriver, and perhaps a small hammer to pry the hinge pins out one at a time. After you get it out, use some WD-40 or silicone spray to wipe the dirt buildup off of it, then put a thin coat on and re-insert the pin.
If the door does not have hinge pins, use the WD-40 or silicone spray on the hinge and work the door back and forth until the squeaking stops.
This is a common problem and is caused by the door switch plunger
sticking (due to dirt, other elements or rust). This can often be
corrected by performing the following:
1. Thoroughly spray the door switches (on each door) with:
Cleaning spray - clear the sludge out of the mechanism - electronic contact cleaner, carb, brake, etc
Air, canned or even better, from a compressor
Spray lubricant - a dry lube (best), silicone spray, WD-40 or similar
2. Open and close each door several times to work the lube into the mechanism. This is usually sufficient to clean the electrical and plunger mechanism inside the door switch.
If this doesn't work, you could remove the door panel and do the spray treatment from the inside also.
Please consider the following...
15 year old car.
Normally uses remote unlock (key remains unused).
Possible solution, open keyhole cover by particially inserting key. Place WD-40 or other silicone spray lube in the key hole (lots). Operate the key several times... eventually, it will clean the unused parts and open the door.
