Question about Microsoft Office Word 2003 for PC

Open Question

This is my 3rd attempt to post this problem. Each time my post simply disappeared, something I find common with Windows7. Now I am writing it on Word and will copy and paste it in hopes that it will post. I am using a new Asus K501, Windows7 laptop. Word (2003) including Outlook takes forever to open, close, save, send, reply, etc. with both blank and filled docs/emails. I get frequent "not responding" messages while I wait. Right now I cannot even delete a blank doc. Each time I try I get a message ?Changes have been made that affect the global template, Normal. Do you want to save those changes?? I tried hitting ?yes? but was unable to save. The document was in use as read-only somewhere ELSE on the computer. IT WAS A BLANK DOCUMENT!!! Finally hit ?no? and was able to delete blank doc. This happens often. PLEASE HELP! If Word does not speed up I might throw my computer out the window.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: MS Word runing VERY slow on Windows 7

Spyware is computer software that spies on your internet usage. It collects highly personal and confidential information like credit card numbers, IPs and even addresses. The spyware program gets the credit card entries as the user logs them on a web form or an online application. Some spyware are even programmed to record your usage of the internet, what sites you visit, what files you download and how long you stay online.

No display problem for intel D865GSA board

What are you formatting ? Have you changed the RAM. Does tour system work in its original configuration ? You do not say what the pattern of the beeps is. Before the display disappears, is there a message sent to the screen ?
From the manual
http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d865gsa/sb/d5600601us.pdf

Whenever a recoverable error occurs during POST, the BIOS displays an error message

describing the problem (see Table 53). The BIOS also issues a beep code (one long

tone followed by two short tones) during POST if the video configuration fails (a faulty

video card or no card installed) or if an external ROM module does not properly

checksum to zero.

An external ROM module (for example, a video BIOS) can also issue audible errors,

usually consisting of one long tone followed by a series of short tones. For more

information on the beep codes issued, check the documentation for that external

device.

There are several POST routines that issue a POST terminal error and shut down the

system if they fail. Before shutting down the system, the terminal-error handler issues

a beep code signifying the test point error, writes the error to I/O port 80h, attempts

to initialize the video and writes the error in the upper left corner of the screen (using

both monochrome and color adapters).

If POST completes normally, the BIOS issues one short beep before passing control to
the operating system.

I want to write something on my WALL but i want to attach my friend name on it, how can i do it ?

Type the "at" symbol and then start typing their name; you should get a little pop up after you've typed a few letters of their name. Click on their name to tag them.

Here's an example. Let's say you have a friend named "John Jenkins" who you want to included in a wall post. You can type something like this:

Hey @John

and then a pop up should appear where you can click on their name. The "@" sign will disappear and their name inserted and highlighted. Then finish typing the rest of your post

Hey John Jenkins, I heard you like chocolate ice cream. Me too!

The "@" symbol can be inserted on a US keyboard by holding shift and pressing the number 2 (above the "W" key).

Hope this is helpful. Here's a post on Facebook's blog about this: https://blog.facebook.com/blog.php?post=109765592130

I am connected to internet but get error 651

I am assuming you have purchased a new pc with Windows7 and have a DSL internet connection. If so the following tutorial should prove useful. This is a common problem and known bug within the Windows7 framework that they are working to correct. Keep in mind that this fix is only applicable for the Windows7 operating system.

"The RAS PPPoE driver file "raspppoe.sys" found under c:windowssystem32drivers folder seems to be the root cause of the problem. Fortunately, we can work around the problem simply by renaming the original raspppoe.sys file to something like "raspppoe_orig.sys" copying a working file from a Windows Vista system. If you do not have access to a Windows Vista system click here to download raspppoe.sys file (unzip)."

http://www.windowsreference.com/windows-7/error-651-with-pppoe-connections-in-windows-7/

Once downloaded and unzipped you may rename the old rasppoe file as mentioned above by right clicking the icon and choosing 'rename'. Then copy the new rasppoe file you downloaded into the applicable folder. You will find this file in the following directory C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers. Bear in mind, when searching for the file inside the drivers folder, the .sys file extension may or may not be included in the actual name. If the original file is named 'rasppoe' without the .sys file extension in the name, leave this file extension off when renaming and copying as well.

* Download & install the Motorola USB Drivers

* Search for file 'motccgp.inf' at C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository,
mine is in a folder named motccgp.inf_x86_neutral_181385012a0af6ec

* Open motccgp.inf with MS Notepad, scroll down to:

[Motorola]
&#xUS;BMOTCCGP% = MOTCCGP, USB\VID_22B8&PID_3804

* Copy the below code:

USB\VID_22B8&PID_4061&REV_0001
USB\VID_22B8&PID_4061

* Paste the code one line below &#xUS;BMOTCCGP% = MOTCCGP, USB\VID_22B8&PID_3804.

It should look like this:

&#xUS;BMOTCCGP% = MOTCCGP, USB\VID_22B8&PID_3804
&#xUS;BMOTCCGP% = MOTCCGP, USB\VID_22B8&PID_4061&REV_0001
&#xUS;BMOTCCGP% = MOTCCGP, USB\VID_22B8&PID_4061

* Exit & save motccgp.inf

* Open Device Manager, plug in your phone’s USB, quickly double-click the ‘Unknown’ device (mine disappears in 2 seconds)

* Click ‘Update Driver’ > Click ‘Browse my computer for driver software’> Click ‘Browse’

* Locate the folder that motccgp.inf resides in at C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository, click ‘Next’, the drivers should install

* Unplug your phone’s USB and then plug it back in

Note:

To attempt another Motorola model phone or a W376g that may have a different USB\VID code, try this:

* Open Device Manager, plug in your phone’s USB, quickly double-click the ‘Unknown’ device

* Click the ‘Details’ tab, under the “Property’ heading, click the menu

* Click ‘Hardware IDs, copy or write down the USB\VID codes for your phone

* Replace the USB\VID codes in the above steps with your USB\VID codes
