The part number you are looking for is DW236-69001. HP no longer offers replacement motherboards for the A720N, but you can get one get from Ambry.com for $119.32, or from Buy.com for $129.17.

If you order a replacement board, make sure you know whether it is a new board or a refurbished board before ordering.

Use brightness controls at the top of the keyboard and see if you can make it brighter. If not, try an external monitor. If the external is good, then the mother board is too and the screen might need re-attaching/replacing. If the dongle is good and the external screen gets nothing, your logic board might be toast.

Hi, If Battery Light is blinking orange, then it could be that your battery is toast and that you need a new battery. That'll cost you about $50.00 for a new one.

Toshiba A200 1Ai memory slot not working

new board, the actual ram slot is toast, you can get a replacement board from Toshiba themselves but at a retarded price, at this point cheapest thing to do would be to just put in one 2 gig stick in the working slot so at least you have 2 gigs and forget about the other one (replacement mother-board for your machine is roughly 200 bucks) i checked it at work (future-shop)

Mother board Gigabyte transistor D0139 broken

This worry's me a little I have some ?'s that i need answered first before you started your cleaning did you ground your self and wait the 10 to 20 min time after you shut-off and unplug the computer before removing anything from the computer. If you did then before turning it back on did you make sure you replace everything in it right place. Sound to me like ram my have not been in all the way.

But it all comes down to one thing you need a new motherboard they really normaly don't make replacement parts for them and in the long run you don't know what else could be toasted. Most likely the bios chip went too.
