Epson wide format printer stops in the middle of a job saying paper jam. But I know it is not paper jam.

I do not know this particular printer but several things might be wrong. Make sure all the paper handling sensors and rollers are clean. Check to see if the next sheet of paper is sticking to the first and blocking a sensor. Check to see if the paper is advancing properly. Sometimes the roller will spin but slips on the paper, if the printer senses that the paper is not advancing properly it will throw a paper jam code. Make sure you are using fresh, crisp paper and the holding tray is at least half full.

Will not spin

Plug off the power cord from the wall mains. I give you several alternatives, sort out thru the easiest: Note your brand and model. Check on YouTube for change of motor brushes. Then disconnect your motor and check your brushes; follow noting how you dis-assemble so you can re-assemble easier. If your brushes are less than half an inch long get new brushes (thru this very site Fixya) and refit; actually this is quite easy. The spin has a lot to do with worn motor brushes. Manufactures want you to dump machines and buy; it helps them all. Not you - you shell out bucks.

If you have already cleaned out your filter, which is usually just under the tub (be prepared for a lot of water; and disconnect from the wall power socket), your washer still may not spin. So look into next para below. The tech sheet is usually taped to the body of the washer inside somewhere.

Check the motor housing for an overload button, usually on the back and coloured black or red. Give it a push and if it clicks then the motor might have just been overloaded and shut itself off.

There is a big connector located at the motor - giving power to the motor (located under the tub) to the right side, could be loose. Disconnect the connector and refit to make sure it is tight. Before refitting the back, etc, try the spin alone; if it works you are done.

My shredder (lightly used) doesn't seem to be working properly. It sometimes won't start shredding the paper unless I get it started by using reverse first. Then when it does start pulling a sheet...

Does it have a manual with trouble shooting tips or mfr. phone #. Also try a different electrical outlet maybe or unplug power cord & wait a minute or two then replug back in, I don't know that I would use oil as a solution as that may create another issue, you may also try removing top & maybe leftover shredding is stuck up in area where it is not allowing the machine to work at it's best. Look at manual if you have it 1st those types of issues may be common with the machine

check the printer's printing preferences on properties option.should be set to normal then check the printer rollers if its dirty where the papers pass thru, if the problem persists load only 1 paper every time you print for the printer not to grab more papers.i think it is in the feeder and the sensor maybe its dirty need to be cleaned up.

Lights keep flashing

I left it turned off for three days, and when i turned it on it worked. Next time I will buy a canon printer.

It is possible there was a sheet of paper stuck half way thru.

Miss feeds when print multilpe pages

The paper feed solenoid is sticking, it can be seen thru a hole in the back with the door opened. Not easy to get to, but I have been able to bend the stop tab slightly and run just fine.

does it finish the sheet of paper then shut off , or does it stop halfway thru the paper?

unplug the unit , open it up and see if theres staples or junk jammed in the cutting wheels/gears

there supose to turn off once its finished with the paper and turn back on when the next paper is inserted , theres a lil sensor that turns it on and a limit switch that turns it off

Panasonic Microwave Convection Oven Model NN-8501Vstops after one min. of operation-Display goes to all

If you unplug the ac power cord , wait between 30 and 60 seconds and then replug the cord in, push the reset button and then select the time ot cook desired followed by the start button, it seems to work fine for a while (days) and then for some unknown reason it stops after one minute of operation and returns to all eights on the display. A real mystery as to why this is happening and what is really wromg with the unit.

Problem seemed to be a short in the power cable to the monitor. Replaced the power cable and for the time, the monitor is working correctly.

Samsung 1710 stops after warm up

Chances are, you're getting paper jams.  Try cleaning the rollers (as indicated below.)  If that seems to help the situation, then you'll need to get new feed rollers.

Look where you put the paper in. See if you can see inside there and see the roller that turns and picks up the paper. If you can, make a mixture of alcohol and a little dish soap. Damp a rag with it, and reach in there to clean the rollers.  See if the rollers will turn manually, but be careful not to force anything.  Another way to get to the whole roller, would be to start making a print, while watching the rollers.  As soon as the rollers have turned half way, unplug the printer.  Now you can reach the other side and clean that.

There is another way to clean the rollers.  Using the alcohol mix, take a single sheet of paper, and damp one half of it with the solution.  Stick the single sheet in the paper tray, and make a print, but hold on to the paper so that it doesn't feed through the machine.  Do this several times, and the rollers turning against the wet paper should clean them.

Try to print again. It might take a few tries. The rollers have to turn against the paper and dry themselves off again.

If this works, then you need new rollers (cleaning them will only make them work temporarily and the problem will come more frequently until you change them).

Thankyou,
