With this model of player you can have only a wired/LAN network connection, not wireless. If the problem is in a wireless connection then it's somewhere outside this device.
If the problem is in connecting the player to the local network then most likely the settings are gone and you must reconfigure them. With the unit in Stop mode/No Disc mode go to MENU  - Setup - Network Setup - TCP/IP - DHCP and in there (if it's set to ON=manual input of the data) make sure the data - IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway and Primary DNS settings - is the same one that is set on the router. The DNS section of settings should be left on Auto.

While watching the movies are interuppeted constantly with a red circle showing reloading really sick of it cant watch a movie

What is the bandwidth speed of the connection to the device you are watching the movie on. Is it via Wi Fi 802.11N as it will not be fast enough. What is the ISP speed is it ADSL Modem (speed could be a problem depending on distance from Telephone Exchange) or Cable Modem. Try temporarily connecting directly via a Cat5E ethernet cable directly into your Network Hub and see if it improves. If wireless 802.11N you may want to consider 802.11ac which runs faster (if you can use a USB network adapter for 802,11AC ) if ISP speed is at least 433 Mbps and you have 1000 mbps network switch and network connection ethernet hub out of ADSL or Cable modem is 433 mbps or 1000 Mbps . I am going to connect a power point network adapter as the newer technology runs over power points a lot faster than my previous 85 Mbbps device. I could not watch Netflix moviesd as 85 mbbps was not fast enough and trying to use Adobe web conferencing via my 802.11N Wi fi or the 85 mbbp power point device is not fast enough.

If you connect the computer to the router , it works.
That means the wired connection is OK.
Open the set up page of the router check the wireless settings of the router.
I think your network is secured and you are not typing the correct network key.
just open the router set up and check the wireless settings .

Want to hook laptop up to home computer via cable modem

You need a router or a wireless router to do that.
If your cable modem is wireless you can set directly via wireless network a connection with your laptop (the laptop also need a wireless card (if dont have any built in))
The connection must be done in this way

ISP ----->> Cable Modem ---->> Wireless Router o Router ----->> Computer ( 1, 2, or more)

Linksys Wireless-G 2.4Ghz Broadband Router Problem

You have to check if your computer can connect to the modem with an Ethernet cable. This will tell you if the ethernet port on the modem is working. if that does not work call your cable provider.

Next thing after you get the instructions above done.

Press the reset button on the back of the router> press it in for 30 seconds then let go and pull out the power. Connect the router up the way it should be before you reset by the way. check if you have internet if you do not follow hte directions at teh link below.

You can purchase a usb wireless dongle and attach to the PC. From then onwards you can set up a wireless network without connecting the usb cable for the router. The dongle will enable wireless capabilities on the pc. The only thing left is to have all devices running in the same workgroup.

OK well I think it is better to set it up like this... Connect the Modem to the Phone Line, Connect the Modem to the Router with an Ethernet Cable, Use a CABLE connection from the Main PC to the Router. (Ya gonna ditch the USB WiFi) Set that Main PC connection up to connect to the internet from the Main PC, thru Router thru Modem.... Then from Slave, install the USB adapter in this PC, and use this to connect DIRECTLY to the WiFi Router... and thus to the internet. This way will give the best transfer rates, and reliability
