Question about Apple iPod touch

1 Answer

Music Stopping I have been having a problem with my Itouch recently. Whenever I am listening to it in the car or with the headphones, it just randomly stops in the middle of songs. I have tried restoring it a couple of times and the only thing that happens is the songs that stopped before work and other songs stop.

Make sure that the music is i the right format. You can convert it in iTunes to a better format that the iPod TOUCH can understand easier. It is happening because of bad coding in the format.

That happened to me once. I just messed around. I turned it on off and plugged it in and out and messed with the volume. I was doing this a lot until it came back on (dont worry, when it happened to me my heart was racing and i was freaking out.) it will go back to normal one way or another.

ITouch 2nd g only plays music throuhg left side of all headphones

Try playing with the headphone plug, until you can also hear the right
channel and also try a different set of headphones as it is probably a
matter of an intermittent headphone jack, or plug, owing to sudden
snatching of the headphone plug from same, a very common problem.

Eliminate this cause before submitting your Touch for much more
expensive remedies

No word just music when i listen to my itouch through my headphones---music sound real far away, like it is echoing in a long hall.

Wacky.  What headphones are they and what player are you using?  If you somehow were gifted with grados, you might need a headphone amp; but as it is, it sounds like the settings on it are messed up; reset the equalizer and headphone-bass-expansion, maybe flash the unit's firmware, and see if things change.

Self Panning Headphones

I recently purchased a Sansa e280 and in three weeks of regular use it developed a similar problem, with music cutting out from playing in stereo to mono, coming out of one headphone speaker. Sandisk tech support told me to reformat the device and install the latest firmware, which I did, but the problem continued and occured more frequently. I have returned the player back to the seller and I shall not be getting another one. A nice Ipod alternative from Sandisk, but from what I have seen written about in forums, the Sansa e200 series appears to be buggey with problems.
