Question about E-Machines eMachines Monitor E15T4
My monitor has gotten very dark. It was fine until one day I turned it on and suddenly it was not as bright as it usually was. I have it tilted down as far as possible so I can see what's on the screen. I have tried adjusting the brightness and contrast, wiggling the wires, unplugging the monitor and leaving the computer off for a few days. Nothing has helped. Can this be fixed or do I need a new monitor? It is about 6 years old. Thanks.
Try another monitor on your computer. If the other monitor works fine, then you know the video card is good and the monitor is definitely bad.
If the monitor is the culprit then the only option is to replace it because that would mean the screen itself is going bad and there is no replacement screen for that monitor.
