I am using DeVILBISS JGA_510 cinventional spray gun. The pressure pot system is showing constant pressure , but the gun is sputtering and not getting an even paint flow. I have changed paint lines, put on...

First start with the basics, whats the paint VISCOCITY ON A FORD 4 CUP ??
Or Does it run nicely off the stick you stirred it with??

If its thin enough to go up the tube and lines, whats the fluid tip and air cap combo your using?? maybe start with a EX fluid tip (1.8mm) and 30b air cap (cos that sprays everything!!) and reduce from there.

Whats the pot pressure?? Is it a KBII pot? cos they suffered with the air inlet blocking, so IT SHOWS GOOD PRESSURE, but doesnt have it in the pot!

Does it spray anything?? thinners?

I bought a honda pressure washer power boss 3000. I load the gasoline, start the machine, but pressure water is not coming out from the trigger. i tried so many things , but can t get started.

If you are using a water tank for water supply, remove the water supply line from the pressure washer and connect a water hose from a faucet. Turn the water on, then crank the engine. Pull the trigger of the spray gun until water comes out. When then water starts to spray properly the release the trigger, shut engine down with pressure on the line then reconnect the water supply from the tank to the pressure washer. If this fixes the problem then the problem was "air-locked"! Happens alot with new pressure washers that have never been run. Gun will not stop spray when trigger is released

Fluid tip worn, pressure too high or the ball has come off.

Try EXITFLEX in Bournemouth, always found them very helpful, but that was a while ago!

No suction

This model comes in either suction feed or pressure feed. For example a 6211-4307-9 is a suction model. There are different air caps and needles depending on feed style. I assume your'e using either a 82-545 or a 82-555 suction cup attached to the gun. Make sure the tubing is tight, and that the vent hole in top of the cup isn't clogged. See Binks.com for detailed tip combinations.

GX 08 spray gun problem

drain your system of pressure. remove your air cap and nozzle from the gun. slowly increase fluid pressure till it comes out of gun. this will clean out debri from gun. reduce pressure so you don't wast anymore fluid.
clean nozzle properly / completely
clean aircap. properly / completely
inspect needle tip for abnormal wear.
if cleaned properly you will find your gun works much better.

Ok i really don't think that the spray jets are getting either enough air pressure to push the spray out or that it isn;t getting enough solution so how do i check to see whats wrong and how do i fix it?

Air pressure, normal everyday gun you will want at least 50lbs air pressure at the gun - and there are inline pressure gauges that will go on the end of the gun for pressure adjustment & to read the pressure. As far as paint, if you have a viscosity checker, use that, otherwise, make sure you have the proper thinner/reducer and or hardner in the paint since most paints you cannot spray without reducer cause they are too thick. If you have used the gun before and not cleaned it, it it likely plugged up and can be cleaned with laqquer thinner in most instances, and the metal guns can be left overnight in gun cleaner or gasoline if they are really plugged up and then cleaned with the lacquer thinner. hope this helps.
