Question about Tasco Specialty 25x30 1AGST Brass Spyglass Telescope

1 Answer

Missing lens I lost the lens on my TASCO MS2530 25X30mm Full Coated Optics ll.5FT/100YDS 38/100M. It is the small lens that screw on the eye piece end of this small telescope. This is a small telescope with a tri pod stand.

This is going to be very difficult to replace. However you can try contacting this company to see if they can order the part? Tasco does not sell replacement parts directly to the public.

Scope is a 1995 year model. Optics got blurry this season.

could be the the eye sight adjustment piece at the front of the scope got turned some how , try turning the lens piece to focus ... If it looks like fog , it is probably the nitrogen has leaked out, you will have to return it for repair..

Difficult to find manuals for small telescopes. However Meade maintains a web site for all of their telescopes. Look under the REFRACTOR or REFLECTOR headings for a manual similar to your telescope. They all go together about the same.

You won't find a manual for those small telescopes. However Meade maintains a web site for their scopes. Look around the page for one similar to your telescope and download a manual.

Missing parts to galaxsee tasco

eye pieces are interchangeable and you will want a few of them for different magnifications.
The previous owner probably got a new scope and kept them for that.
Here's where I go for lens' in Toronto Canada.

The rule of thumb is cheaper eyepieces are ok for the low magnification 35mm-20mm but as you get to higher magnification a better eyepiece will make more of a difference. How expensive is up to you and how serious you are into this. I think my better lens was a used tele-vue for $80
