Mcdevito75 here, I also have wireless with the same or similar problem, we need I think 4 sattelite hook ups for wireless to work any less, we get not recongnised or pull the plug for 10--20 secs. and try reconnect. I simply hit my computer re-start. Click on Start, then re-start.

Cannot connect to the internet.

If your using wireless, make sure your wireless adapter is on. Look on the F1, F2, F3, (etc.) keys. Find a little icon that looks like a cell tower. Press FN and that key and your wireless adapter will be activated and you should be able to connect to wifi. Other advice, make sure your LAN is active, too. I'm not specifically sure how to do this, it depends on the operating system, and I just plainly don't know. Anyway, if none of this works, go to Acer's website and download the Wireless LAN drivers. You can install them and restart the computer, it should work. Good Luck!

Dell inspiron 560 won't recognize network adapter

Try reinstalling the NIC driver. If its separate network card, connected in PCI adapter, try to remove and plug it back in to see if its found after.

If these actions do not help, maybe NIC was damager with the power outage, it can happen.

What parts do i need to connect the n145plus netbook to wifi

If your netbook came with a wireless adapter already installed then you should be good to go. If it has a wired connection for the internet (looks like a phone cord but a little larger) and no wireless adapter then you will have to purchase one. You can buy a wireless adapter that plugs into your USB port from any pc store. If you are going to buy a wireless adapter to connect to wifi make sure you install the software for the adapter first before connecting it to your pc or it might not recognize it.

I have a emachine desktop W3115. It lost the network adapter and does not recognize the internet. I bought a OPERATING SYSTEM DISC Dual Core Windows XP Media Center Edition but that did not fix the network...

If you still have the original eMachine software as your desktop, go to Start > system Recovery > Create my Drivers and Application CD disk.

This will create a CD that will contaon all the drivers for your eMachine.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

I think, it needs a driver for it to be recognized by the computer.

Adding Dell Dimension 4600 to existing wireless network?...

Go to Staples and purchase a Linksys USB wireless-G (only G needed - the new "N" protocol is overkill) adapter (~$60.00). Insert the Linksys CD and follow the instructions. When prompted, plug the USB adapter into the Dell (frt or back) doesn't matter. If his "roomies" have security enabled on their router, you'll need to know the level, password/passphrase, and the network name that they assigned.
Good luck.

Dell laptop hard drive.

I have never seen a 2.5" drive without the missing pin. It is there to ensure the drive is not connected upside down. I think I would return the new drive if all pins are there. If I couldn't return it then I would think about cutting the unwanted pin after very careful counting.
