Re: Can't print in color
If you can remove the color printer head . try to soak in the hot water for almost 2 hour to melt the clogged ink in the holes of the printer head but don't wet the board inside the head just the head nozzles .

Click on Start button Click on Run Type SERVICES.MSC and click ok look
for Print Spooler in the list highlight Print Spooler, Click on
STOP button then click on START close the window and check if the
print queue is gone.
Click STart Click
RUN Type Cmd ( or COMMAND ) and hit enter In the black window
type NET STOP SPOOLER ( hit enter button ) Type NET START
SPOOLER ( hit enter button )
Repeat the Stop and START Command
4-5 times End the Command with NET START SPOOLER
Printers and faxes folder - Refresh the Window - the printer will show Status ready with 0 document
Check the printer properties, go into Printer and Faxes from Control Panel or Start Menu, then right click on the printer and choose properties.
Look for Printing Preferences and in tab Paper/Quality, set the color setting to Color.
this is common problem in this printer.many of the customers face this problem.the option to avoid this problem is to get your printer serviced every two months so the ink will not remain collected in the printer.and will work properly.
I HAVE NOT USED MY PRINTER IN 2 YRS. I JUST REPLACED THE INK AND NOW IT WONT PRINT ANYTHING AT ALL. IT ACTS LIKE ITS NOT CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTER BUT IT IS AND THE DOCUMENTS ARE JUST SITTING IN THE QUE?
I'm experiencing the same problem. I tried to troubleshoot through software that came with printer, but no luck. Here's what happens:
The printer worked great for a month or so. Then, I didn't use it for a few months. When I tried to use it again, it acts like it's printing. My computer shows it's printing, the printer runs through all the steps, including moving the print cartridges back and forth over the paper as it should, but no ink comes out on paper.
