No power - model HPR10XC6 - manual says check fuse. Is fuse in plug? How do I open plug? I definitely have power to outlet.

Found the fuse in the unit - finally! Took it to Radio Shack; they didn't have one but tested it for me and it was fine. Put it back in the unit and it works. Unbelievable. FYI: If I'd known what I was doing, I would only have had to take the front panel off. Live and learn.

The fuse is most likely inside the unit itself. There should be an access panel to access all the electrical components and relays. Inside there, you will find the fuse. It could either be a high voltage buss fuse or it could be a small low voltage automotive type fuse. The smaller automotive fuse will either be in an enclosure holding the fuse or attached directly to a control board.

There also may be a re-set button or fuse inside the unit so keep your eyes peeled for that as well. Good luck.

Your solution was fuse was probably in unit itself behind a removable panel. I have taken off two panels but cannot get to front of unit without taking sides also. In other words, I would be removing the entire outside cabinet. Can't believe they would put a fuse that might need replacing in such an inaccessible place. Your thoughts on this?

I still think the fuse may be in the plug, but there is one screw with a strange head that cannot be removed with a slotted screwdriver or a Phillips screwdriver. Any suggestions there?

Its most likely a security bit set. And it may be located in the plug. It could be the manufacturers way of keeping DIY homeowners out of the unit.

Check your local Harbor Freight Tools. They carry an arrangement of security bit sets for a pretty cheap price. Its where I got all my security bit sets.

I doubt you would need to remove the entire shell to access the system. I won't rule it out...thats how I must access most commercial microwaves...have to remove the entire shell to get to the guts.

Where is the fuse on an orbit model 57896 sprinkler

The fuse is the 120 volt circuit breaker.
Check outlet for power.
If outlet is outside, it should be on GFCI, which might be located in kitchen or bathroom or garage.
Use circuit analyzer on outlet to check for correct polarity and ground.

Philips 42pfl3704d/f7 No power at all

its definitely the fuse. you have to go to the phillips website and type in your model number to get the right fuse. I went thru 3 different fuses and they all blew right away. phillips website sells the right ones 5 bucks each. Get it here and it will save you trouble trust me.

If nothing happens no light or sound when you plug it in to the wall it is definitely the fuse. mine was a T8AH250VP. You have to be sure to get that exact fuse. every letter exactly like that. there are a lot of similar fuses that will blow the moment u plug it in.

Hope this helps took me a month to figure this out. I was going to buy powerbaords for no reason. fixed my 42 inch phillips for under 10 dollars. couldn't be happier. Also always run your tv threw a power ack. If you plug directly to the wall your fuse will blow frequently.

from your description its should be the switch or a loss connection
if it doean not power on now it could be the fuse
if you can open the unit follow the power cord inside you should see a glass fuse look if its burn if its ok its better to take to service

Which fuse is allocated to the cigarette lighter? I initially thought it was the PDC Coils fuse, number 11, but when I switched that with a definitely working fuse, there was no change. Currently, I...

cigarette lighter is fuse #5
however, if that is ok then check the lighter/accessory relay

as for your power outlet...
I've searched a few different models and
cannot find that information

the power outlet might be a dealer add-on or aftermarket at which point power supply could be coming from anywhere

My cigarette lighter is not charging in my car what could it be?

You mean there seems to be no power to the vehicle's lighter unit outlet.

This lighter unit outlet is normally wired through its own fuse so check the fuse panel in the car for a blown fuse. If blown it must be replaced with a fuse of the correct amperage. The owner's manual will show you where the fuse is located.

Before you check the fuse just check the cigarette lighter outlet with another plug-in device if you have one such as a portable 12 volt tire compressor or a 12 volt plug-in auxiliary light. It could be that if you are using a charger from the outlet, the charger plug or wiring may be faulty rather than the car's power outlet itself. (These outlets don't usually give trouble unless the wiring has been messed with or the outlet itself has been damaged or abused).

If no device works from the lighter power outlet check the fuse as it may be blown.

Check the engine compartment. It's definitely a fuse that has blown.
