SOURCE: Dishwasher doesn't drain fully

Some model 665 DW have a check valve that is attached between the sump and drain hose that may have a blockage..... Remove the drain hose from the long plastic valve then carefully unscrew the check valve from the sump. Inspect for debris.

My Bosch dishwasher is streaking the glassware, inside of the dishwasher and plastic utensils for the past couple of months. What is wrong?

The problem is most likely that there is still water residue at the bottom of your machine. If the machine is not fully drained it picks up some of the residue and sprays that onto the dishes during the final rinse, leaving an unhealthy and unsightly film on everything.
Remove the bottom strainers and make sure that there is nothing obstructing the outlet pipe and the pump. If possible back flush through the outlet pipe and try draining the machine again before using it again.

My Kenmore model #C110 743700 isn't draining properly and has a pool of water in the bottom. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hello there:
I will post the answer in 2 seperate post"s for you ok?
If the water doesn't drain from your dishwasher, check these:
Drain line/air gap A clog in the drain line or air gap (if there is one) is the usual reason that a dishwasher won't drain. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. If you remove this line, you can clear any debris from the hose or hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again. Pump Your dishwasher pump ejects the water. The pump is usually mounted directly to the motor, then attached to the bottom of the dishwasher. You can reach the pump from inside the dishwasher, but first you need to remove the lower rack, the spray arm, and the spray arm support. Look for an impeller--a round plastic fan blade-type of device that spins around. This is the wash impeller, which forces the water through the spray arm. Beneath the wash impeller is the drain impeller, which is similar in size and shape to the wash impeller. The drain impeller pushes the water toward the drain port. These components make up the pump. If any of the pump components are defective, you need to replace them. Drain valve and/or solenoid Many dishwashers use a drain valve with an electric solenoid. When electricity flows to the solenoid, the valve opens and diverts the water to the drain. Sometimes the solenoid, or the diverting lever, sticks and prevents the dishwasher from draining or filling properly. Try to free up the solenoid to lubricate the lever. Otherwise, you may have to replace the solenoid or pump assembly. With these systems, the motor always rotates in one direction. When it's energized, the drain valve diverts the water. Other dishwashers simply reverse the direction of the motor to drain the dishwasher. These units don't have a drain valve. Instead, there's a drain hose connected directly to the pump housing. Belt One brand of dishwasher uses a belt to drive the pump. If this belt is broken or has fallen off, replace it.

Dishwasher won't go to next cycle kinda hums.

If you never hear it washing, then it sounds like the motor is not turning. There may be something that has gotten down inside the pump impeller at the bottom of the unit.

You will need to remove the baskets, remove the lower spray bar, then remove the lower plastic shield that covers the impeller. At some point you should be able to rotate the motor by turning the impeller.

Kenmore 17245 won't drain.

Try blowing into the drain line with a wet/dry vac. This sometimes removes clogs. Otherwise, hold the hose above the unit and fill it with water. If there is no clog the water should appear at the bottom of the dishwasher after a few quarts.

You have a blockage in your drain pump. Remove all filters and scoop out as much water as you can from the unit. Check in the bottom for any objects stuck there. Some models have a cover on the bottom inside the unit, which once removed, will expose the drain pump impeller. If yours does, remove the cover(usually 1 screw only) and free the drain pump impeller. NB: DO NOT REMOVE THE SCREWS WHICH HOLD THE BASE TUB IN PLACE! These are the screws on the edge of the white plastic "bowl" inside the unit. The drain pump cover will be INSIDE this bowl and will be quite small, no more than 5cm dia.... If this does not work, you will have to remove the drain pump from the bottom or front of the unit to get the blockage out. Oshie
