Infucos IN72 projector

Hw do i configure my InFucos IN72 projector, have a power but no menu display. only white light appear in the screen

    I have the same problem. I get a dim light which is blank screen and not even "Infocus" logo. It seems I need to change the mother board. Is there any other option of repairing?.

Hi Ronnel

This is a common Mainboard failure on a Projector.

The unfortunate thing is that the Mainboard will either have to be repaired or replaced.

Half inch crystal/ solid white vertical line on screen
Adjust the horizontal in the menu then try the overscan adjustment. If the image does not look dim you do not need a lamp.

Sony VPL-CS5 menu will not display
Give input signal to the projector and see that if the menu appears or not on the screen.
if menu comes on the screen then put the backgroung color to blue, instaed of black.

if nothing comes on the screen, then the LCD panels are faulty.

Sounds like your Mainboard will need repair or replacement if you only get a white screen.

Check if the unit is still under warranty as this could be a costly exercise.

Hi there

This is most probably a Ballast ( lamp's powersupply ) problem.

Make 100% sure that this unit is out of warranty because InFocus Projectors come out standard with a 2 year warranty.

Try using a different cable.

If the response is the same on a different cable , then the Mainboard might be at fault - this machine should still be under warranty and the warranty will cover repairs.

White vertical line on left side of screen
I had a smililar problem after taking it apart i realised that i had screwed my mount skrews into the video main board and cracked it along with a few soldered wires, if you havent done any physical dammage to it try a firmware upgrade
