Cannot receive inputs other than Ant A and B

Last night we lost power in the house. Today, we cannot find any inputs other than the ant inputs. Before the power out, I was able to see all of the inputs (i. e. input 1, 2, svideo, etc.

Please help.

    Hello,

I recently had a power outage. My tv
will now only allow me to switch inputs from Ant -A to Ant - B. None of
the other inputs are accessible. Normally Ant-A is where i view my cable, but now i only get audio and the screen is black.

    OH,
also the tv just shut itself of after 5-10 minutes of being on with
audio but no visual. All of these problems from a storm??? UGHHHHH!!!!!!

Thank you in advance for sharing your time and knowledge.

    Best Regards,
    Nigel

A and B ANT only, also, white noise.
Cable TV was out from video signals, now I use the RF cable, worked for some time and then went back to white noise but good picture.

I tried the following (by advice of a locat tech) : use the original remote. Press Menu follow by Numbers 1,3,7,0. then select I belive first option... reinitiate or initiate then Enter.
    That fixed my problem.

Here is the problem I just fixed with my VS-60603 Mfg date April 1999.
    Go to the menu.
Go to "Locked to input 1"
    Switch it to No.
Then you will be able to see all inputs and your TV is back to normal picture viewing!!!
    Cheers,
    Dean.

If you did not have a surg protector, you have witnessed the effects of a power surg that has most likely blown up your curcuitry....next time get a good Surg protector to prevent this from happaning again..

No sound from a Mitsubishi ws48311. Probably had a power surge during a storm last night. All settings are correct. Ant A and B have

Ok, a long time expert and person who has repaired a lot of these sets.

This set has 3 hidden menus: adjustment (stay out of that one), convergence, and the OPTION MENU----THAT ONE CURES ALL SORTS OF ODD ISSUES--it requires the original Mitsubishi remote and a 4 digit code to enter.

It will if used reset the set to factory in all respects except for convergence which is stored elsewhere.

Seen a number with no sound, no inputs etc that it cures.

Let me know and I will get you a link to the service manual for free if the site has this one(I think they do).

10 minute job and point and click---what likely happened is the micro in the set became confused--happens a lot and reason the Option menu is there.

Have a blue screen and sound, and when i click my input buttons i only have ant-A and ant-B no inputs 1-2-3 or dvd

I would call Mitsubishi if you have the original remote the set may have (most do) a hard reset that will restore all inputs.

It consists of a 4 digit code by model number, I have a list of the codes somewhere(I am on the road today) and with the set on you enter the numbers and the set turns off and comes back on reset.

When I hook up my cable box to ant a or ant b I get static, but when hooked up to inputs 1-3 I receive a good signal.

Call a good TV Tech and tell him your TV's Tuner is not working. He can then give you an accurate estimate to repair by phone. There is likely an open resistor / fuse that is not letting power get to the Tuners. That is a 31 volt DC power line to the Tuners.

My Ant A Input Not Working

Good Day, babt;
TRY THIS:

MAY ONLY BE ABLE TO SELECT ANTENNA A AND B. WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL PRESS MENU, SELECT "SET UP" AND THEN "AV CONNECTION HOME THEATER" SET "AV NETWORK" TO "OFF" AND "TV LOCKED TO INPUT 1" TO "NO" THEN EXIT THE CUSTOMER''S MENU, TURN THE UNIT OFF UNPLUG IT AND THEN PLUG IT BACK IN, IF THE PROBLEM RETURNS AN E2 RESET IS NEEDED. ACCESS THE OPTION MENU BY PRESSING "MENU 1, 3, 7, 0", USE THE ADJUST BUTTON TO SELECT "E2 RESET" AND PRESS "QV". IF THIS IS NOT RESOLVED BY THE E2 RESET REPLACE THE EEPROM, IC701 PART # 275P163010. THE E2 RESET IS ALSO NECESSARY AFTER REPLACEMENT OF IC701.
Good Luck, big IRISH.

"ant A" and "ant B" inputs go black when the tv is first turned on.

Try opening that "Ant A, B" device and apply some fresh solder to all the components inside. Also you can try to by-pass that device using the connector below. One end connects the cable in and the other end connects to the circuitry inside the TV.
