It's a Tribune HE system from Range. A 150l indirect cylinder.

Turn top timer & switch on, remove top
immersion cover and check for power at thermostat terminals with
    multimeter:

    * If you have power - it's either safety stat or element,
    * If no power its problem with switch.

If safety cut out has popped out then push in to reset and try turning
    both stats down a little.

The "reset" is the white thing in the hole just
above the blue dial; make sure power is off then push it in to reset. Then set blue temp dial to the single dot - not up to max.

As said before test for power supply here when switch is turned on to
    confirm switch/timer is ok.

Try turning the temperature down a bit on the lower immersion as that
might have caused the upper one to trip !

Also, can check any instructional guide; for other details, you'll can: contact sales@range-cylinders.co.uk

    Hope helps.

Make sure you removed any seals from the thermostat fittings and have the feed screws open. If it is electrically controlled, make sure it has power. If you shut off the feed valves inside the wall, check them. Check to make sure you have the proper setting on the thermostat.

Thanks for your reply but no luck. The shower just runs from the mains pressure. Its a Bristan Artisan mixer shower. I was told by the Bristan helpdesk to unscrew the end, take out the thermostat and put in the replacement as the old one had stopped working due to limescale.

When I tried to take out the thermostat, water began to come out so I turned off the hot water valve on the unvented water cylinder in the airing cupboard and also turned off the mains stopcock under the kitchen sink. I replaced the thermostat checking everything was identical and all seals were true.

Then when I turned on the hot water valve and the mains stopcock, the water didn't come back on apart from one cold tap that is directly linked to the mains. I understand that both hot and cold go via the cylinder under pressure to the taps but I don't know how to get it going again. Do I need to reset the cylinder maybe?? I'm guessing it's lost pressure ??

    Thanks

Sounds like you have an instant hot water system... (no hot water tank) if true, check that fuse.

What to do if i can't stop the water flowing from the shower spout and there's little water pressure coming from the shower head and a hand held shower?

One rule I live by: more parts, more problems. Sounds to me that the plumbing/valves were not insalled properly. If you hired a profesional plumber, have them fix it. I am a licensed profesional plumber and I offer a 1 year warranty on all my work. If the contractor did the work and does not hold a plumbing license, that person is still responsible and may have to suffer legal consequenses.

My thermostatic concealed shower valve only gives either boiling hot water or cold water, there is no inbetween temperature? the cold is fed from mains and the hot from a combi boiler. the plumber has said...

Hi,

If the hot and cold are fitted the wrong way round then the thermostat on the shower unit cannot operate properly!

Most thermostatic mixer showers have a 'bi-metallic' thermostat, if you supply the hot to the cold and vice versa IT WILL NOT WORK.

It is like wearing the left shoe on the right foot and the right on the left! It doesn't work.

Re-install the hot and cold to the correct supply, and this will sort it.

I hope this helps.

WE HAVE CHANGED THE THERMOSTATS BOTH OF THEM, WE HAVE CHANGED BOTH ELEMENTS AND THE WATER STILL DOENT GET HOT ENOUGH. WE HAVE TURNED UP BOTH THERMOSTATS AND STILL NOT HOT ENOUGH. WHEN YOUR RUNNING THE HOT...

WE THOUGHT WE NEEDED ANOTHER THERMOSTAR, BUT WHEN WE WERE LOOKING FOR THE PART THE EMPLOYEE ASKED WHAT WAS THE TROUBLE. WE EXPLAINED, HE SAID YOU DEFINATLY DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR TANK AND ASKED IF WE HAD A SINGLE HANDLED FAUCET WITHIN THE HOUSE. NO WE DONT. HE SAID IT SOUNDS LIKE WATER IS MIXING WITH THE COLD WATER THATS THE REASON FOR THE WARM--COLD--WARM WATER. COME TO FIND OUT SINCE WE ARE REMODLING THE BATHROOM, WE HAD BOTH THE HOT AND COLD WATER TURNED ON IN THE SHOWER--BUT WERE PLUGGED OFF AT THE SHOWER HEAD AND THE FAUCET UNTIL THE TILE IS INSTALLED. SOOO ALL MY HUSBAND HAD TO DO WAS TURN OFF THE WATER IN THE SHOWER. NOW WE HAVE PLENTY OF HOT WATER, NO WARM COLD. YEA!!!

I have exactly the same problem

you need to change the cartridge, it is a temp control and is going bad so it keeps you from burning yourself it is like a mixing valve and is givng more cold water, that way you don;t get burned,,

No cold water, Only hot water in showers.

The plumbers screwed up when they installed your showers. There are two connections on each shower. one for hot and one for cold. they connected the two hot water lines together with a T fitting and then ran a line to the main hot water line and tied it in. Then they connected the two cold water fittings with a T and ran that line to the main hot water line and tied it in there instead of into a cold water line like they were suppose to. This is the only possible logical solution to this problem. They tied your cold water connections to both showers into a hot water line instead of a cold water line.
