Hi;there is a little plastic valve set up that return the ice flat. Fiddly joba and patients required so you don't brake anything else, that somethings sticks and won't allow flap to fully return. If that doesn't work, tape the flap up and open the freezer door and retrieve ice that way

Heat from the night light will deteriorate the plastic tubing of the dispenser. Cracks in the tube will allow water to go out the side of the tube as well as in the glass you're filling. There are repair kits available from online appliance parts companys.

How do i access the ice dispencer door in the door? The door is stuck open and freezes up the dispencer.

1. Disconnect the unit from the electrical
supply and wait for 3 to 4 hrs to get ice melted.
2. Pull out and unclip the drip tray on the ice
and water dispenser compartment.
3. Remove the screws from the ice and water
dispenser compartment front panel and
turn it over. The selector switch pack and
dispenser switches are now accessible for
testing.

Ice will not dispence thru door.

Without knowing the brand and model # I can offer the most common solution.

On most "pass the ice through the door" models there is a flapper door where the ice dispenses. The spring which holds this door closed when you are not dispensing ice becomes weak allowing the flap to stay open jsut a bit. This open space will create an ice dam in teh dispenser thus not allowing the ice to dispense. The repair is generally made by replacing the flap assembly.

All the best.

Bottom of ice dispencer freezes and wont let ice come out. It is a whirlpool side by side

Check the door flap on the freezer door , which opens to let the ice come thru . If this flap does not close completely , then it will let frost accumulate inside the ice bin , blocking ice from dispensing . If you had given the model number , I would give the part number for the door kit .

The ice dispencer accumulates ice and clogs the opening. also the dispenser only servers crushed ice even when the cube button is pushed

you have two problems. First the ice build up is because the dispensor door is not closing all the way and the air is causing condensation and freezing.
you will half to find out why the door is not closing. it could be a bad door or the solinoid could be bad.

The second problem is that the solinoid in the back of the freezer is not moving the ice bucket arm.

Common problem is that the solinoid is bad or the plastic arm on the solinoid is broken.

Ice despencer opening keeps freezing and wont dispence

you have a bad door seal. replacement is better than repair. warm moist air is getting in and the condensation is freezing.

FROST BUILD UP ON ICE STORAGE BIN AND INSIDE OF

Most times this is caused by the dispenser door not shutting all the way. This causes moist air to be drawn in through the opening and the moisture will freeze in that area and also cause the dispenser door to have even more problems closing. Check the door and get me your model number so I can list the parts that are most likely causing this, Thanks Sea Breeze

Door inside the ice dispencer sticks open. have to push it close

Sounds like the clear plastic door guide on the ice dispensor arm , is broken loose , holding the door , keeping it from closing . If this is the problem , it just snaps on . If a piece is broken from the guide , pt # 985866 is usually the part .

I have seen this problem before .the wires locted near the bottom hinge have all broken from the constant open and closing of the door causing it to break the wires.
