On most vehicles, there is a high and low pressure side. put the guage on the low pressure side closest to the accumulator/dryer and your freon to the high side closest to the compressor. dont overfill.

How do I recharge the AC unit

If your car has never had the a/c system fully replaced,it has to be done at a shop.Pre-1995 cars have the old R-12 freon,1995 and after has R-134a.You cannot just use one for either system, they are not compatible. Also, you need a special permit just to buy, sell, use, dispose of R-12.If your system has been changed, just let me know and I'll tell you how to charge the system.Greg

I need to put 134A refrigerant in my 2004 Grand

The lowside port is located by the firewall next to the brake booster and the highside is located next to the air filter box towards the bottom.

How to fill the air conditioner system with freon Corsica 1995

RECHARGING AC SYSTEM

1.Turn the truck on and turn AC on HIGH
2.Locate the low side AC line (will have a valve and cap similar to the cap on a tire)
3.Insert the oil or R-134A can to the hose (Do not turn the screw to puncture the can yet)
4.Insert the other end of the refill hose to the low side valve
5.Puncture the R-134A can with the screw on the refill hose
6.You should feel the system suction the refrigerant out of the can
7.Check for frost on the AC lines and the air blowing inside the truck
8.If frost develops and the air is cold, you've successfully recharged the system and disconnect the refill hose. DO NOT ADD MORE REFRIGERANT...overcharging the system will damage your compressor and will be less effective
Hopefully this answers your question and you're able to get your AC working again. Best of luck.

Where ac charge ia done cant locate fittings

Ok, heres a tough one. In 1995/1996 car manufacturers switched from using r-12 and began using r-134a. If you vehicle uses r-12 you need to put a retrofit kit on you car in order to change to the new r-134a. The best bet for this is to have a repair shop do it as the system needs to be emptied and vaccumed down to check for leaks. r-12 is very harmful to the environment and needs to be handled accordingly. Once the retrofit kit is applied, then you can use r-134a and you are good to go.

Dont know how to turn my air conditioner on in my.I

Your car has climate control. If the Ac isn't turning on at all, it's most likely low on refrigerant (R-134A). Below is a link on how to check/fill AC systems with refrigerant. Otherwise, the car should be serviced by a qualified AC shop. Hope this answers your question. All the best!

Need to know what type of freon to use to recharge a one yaer old Beverage Air Sandwich table refrigeration unit. Is this the same process as recharging an automotive AC system?

Beverage air used R134a almost exclusively on refrigerators. The process is similiar to ac systems. You should weigh the charge in as per the data plate. Be precise as over or under charge can dramitically affect the performance of the unit. Hope this helps

1995 buick skylark air condition problem

If the system is not fully charged the compressor will not run. Check to see it the system uses 134a refrigerant for the cooling system. You can buy them in Walmart or other parts stores and try to charge it yourself. It will tell you under the hood by the systems tag how much refrigerant it takes.

How do I recharge air conditioning system on a 2004 Ford Focus SE?

The low side fitting you hook to is not under the hood(Not in engine compartment)To charge ac you MUST attach charge hose to fitting on the side of the aluminion acumulator LOCATED behind right (pass) headlight, reach under fender in front of right front tire, behind bumper.BELIEVE ME it is there, on side of tank. Reach under and feel for it.
