Question about Vizio GV42L 42 in. LCD Television
My Vizio 42" LCD is doing a weird thing where the darks drop out and turn into polarized red areas, like a photoshop filter. It happens a few minutes after I turn it on, and sometimes it stops on its own, sometimes not. It's not the cable box because it does it when playing DVD's as well. It seems serious, I hope I don't have to buy a new TV. Changing the contrast doesn't work by the way.
It sounds like it has bad T-CON board due to poor 12vdc feeding it or failed parts on the board.

Testimonial: "Thanks a lot! That part isn't expensive but there's no way I'm going to try doing this myself. First I'm going to unplug the TV for an hour, as you suggest."
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
