Others have had this problem, I found, after looking around on the net. Here is an excellent blog about the problem, and it contains wiring diagrams and suggestions for what might be going on. It contains more and better advice than I could give, or guess at. Here's the blog:

One thing you might check first, is to make sure the 12 v power is not reversed. If it is, a heavy duty diode will trip the breaker- so check that first. Read the blog over and see if they can help you run this problem down. It could also be a problem with your wiring shorting out, and they have suggestions about figuring it out. Good luck, and hope this helps!

Domestic Dm2652 will not work on AC without DC power is this correct. We have been camping for a week plugged into 30amp power. Refrigerator worked fine then check light came on and refrigerator...

This is an RV frig correct? It SHOULD work either/or. AC or DC. If your plugged into AC then often the frig will work with that alone. DC is for when you have no AC so you can power your appliances of the battery. Maybe you have a converter (AC to DC which most RV's do) that somehow is not getting the DC to the frig.

Action 1: My RM2652 runs well on auto mode when its indicator's light is lit. Auto mode is an electric mode, right? Action 2: When I press on the "gas" button, the indicator's light next to the "auto"...

Auto mode is electric 1st then gas. If no 110v is available it tries to light the gas. Do you have gas & is it turned on? You should hear a clicking from the back of the frig. Make sure the air is purged out of the system by lighting your range and let the burners come on for 30 sec or so. You might have to cycle the frig on & off a couple of times after you purge the air. Set the button to "gas only".

Freezer works ok but the fridge doesn't

are you running gas to oper the frig in the rv or electricty if only using the heating element for the frig RV STYLE ONLY maybe starting to make and break causing intermittent cooling or not enough cooling in frig but at all thing concerned try to increase you temp setting higher if you have that option

Circut Breaker trips

  • i have no experience with RV units but if it were in a house i would suspect a bad breaker or a problem with the outlet itself. breakers  only trip when the wiring is gets hot.
  • unless it is a ground fault breaker (usually on the outlet) then this would trip if the flow of electricity is grounded. ground fault breakers do go bad often.
  • i think if the refrigerator itself had a problem then it would be consistent (as far as it is pulling amps anyway). not work fine sometimes and not others.
