Check the audio jack plug from monitor to cpu if connected correctly. The audio jack plug should be connected to the sound card for audio out. You can also check if the volume in the monitor is adjusted or mute

My speaker all of a sudden stopped working, they are built into my monitor, and worked last night. what do i do?

  1. Check the volume control in windows and make sure audio was't muted
  2. Check the audio cable and ensure it is connected to the port on the system
  3. Ensure headphones are not plugged in an aux audio port as they will mute the speakers
  4. Check the audio drivers in Device manager
  5. Try a known good set of speakers (Or CD player headphones) and ensure the audio on the system if functional
  6. If all else fails, replace the speakers ($20 or less at any major department store)

I have a Sceptre X7G Komodo II 17" LCD monitor/built-in speakers

You would need to connect the speakers to your computer. There should be a little jack on the back of the monitor marked audio. This will need to be connected to your soundcard jack for front speakers. Once this cable is connected you should have sound from your speakers. Hope this helps.

In the back of the sylvania Cl572b there is -audio- L in R asking what is ti for

These are the audio in ports if you want to use the speakers built into the monitor. The necessary cable has a single plug on one end that plugs into the audio out jack on your computer, the other end is double ended (red & white) and plugs into the back of your monitor.

I connected an audio cable from my sound card to the audio unput on the monitor and the monitor plays everything as well as my other speakers connected to my sound card. I have a Diamond multimedia sound card (7.1 setting) By the way, the monitor speakers sound "tinny" if the volume setting on the monitor is too high.

No Audio

Check the menus to make sure the audio is not turned off. If that is OK and you have the means, try using other inputs. If it works on some inputs and not on others, that would imply a system control problem, which is unusual for that model.
