Question about Kaito KA1102 AM/FM/SW Radio
When I turn on the radio, it automatically shuts off in less than two seconds. The instructions for the radio are very poor so I 've been trying a variety of sequences to correct this problem. Nothing seems to work. "Assuming" that the batteries were bad, I switched to the AC adaptor with the same results. Any ideas? Thanks.
Trace your test to the point where the power shuts off. If possible loop up this line to give voltage to the required stage to power on. If there is an errror amp giving the instruction then this stage could be the culprit to switch off fearing a short. Check the outputs for any short or damage. Finally a good voltage check specially the reaading between switch on and off will get you to the fault but you will require a lot of patience and concentration. Use the meter and soldering iron with care and caution. Helpful? good day
