The display is reading dL after dialing the wash type and and start button. The lid lock clicks and I can hear the timer ticking. The lid was forced open when the beeping wouldn't stop be my son.

Hi,

Your problem sounds like the same problem that exists on the whirlpool front load machine. The main circuit board thinks there's something wrong with the door lock so you get the dL code. The problem is there are cold solder joints on the circuit board that interrupt the information going back to the control board. If possible you may want to remove that circuit board and either you or a good appliance repair shop could touch up the heavy solder points for the relays and spade connectors. Good luck.

My Duet front load washer door will not lock. I

Sounds like you have a door lock failure due to the fault code you have or it could be a control brd failure. Sometimes if either fails it will blow the other aswell.

What is code DLF

are you hearing a clicking sound and possible f11 as well with the FDL?
DL means door lock failure but if you are hearing a clicking sound that is comeing from the back of the unit toward the center rear that is your control board.
inspect your door lock first
at the top of the door lock you should see a button that you can press in and out is it still there?
if yes you have a bad control board
let me know how it goes

My washer has an F dl problem?

Fdl is a code that indicates a door lock error. The clicking sound that you hear is most likely the door lock. This error occurs because the door cannot be locked. The door will try to lock six times before displaying the error code. You have a faulty door lock switch. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Flashing codes

you have a communication problem between your door lock and your ccu board. Are you hearing a click click click before it fails? If so this is a relay inside your ccu board. Replace the board this will solve your problem

Error code dl then f

sounds like door lock issue but probably not lock itself remove top (3 screws) along back of top ..at rear of machine is control board ..if you are hearing a clicking noise at time door is supposed to be locking try wiggling connectors on control bd if i remember they are the pink wires if door locks then you have a bad connection on control bd may try wedging something under connector to help hold in place but only true fix is a control bd..good luck

Error codes

f dl refers to a bad door lock. do you hear a faint clicking noise when you try start the machine and after maybe 30 secs of clicking the" fdl "comes up???or perhaps the door makes the noise to lock but never does lock,in which case sounds like a bad latch assy.. although the fault for the door latch it could also be the CCU not energizing the door lock. try taking off the top of the unit by removing the 3 screws along the back of the top assy (they are torx 20 screws) form there youll see the main control board mounted to rear wall and if you look straight down the right front side youll see the wiring for the door lock itself. disconnect power to unit!!!!! first unplug and replug all the wire harness on the door latch and then also the pink wires on the module itself, maybe just a loose connection. try it now see what happens
