Feul starvation pump and filter ok, cranks but wont start. Seems to be electronic (relay) problem.

What make ,model an year vehicle ? Is there spark at the spark plug ? Fuel pump good ? how do you know , did you do a fuel pressure test ? Are the fuel injectors being commanded on by the PCM/ECM ? Does the engine have good compression ? An what is a Feul starvation pump ? Have been fixing vehicles for over thirty years , that's a new one on me !

My v star 650 is loading up in rear cylinder. I have clean the carbs. Put new pick up coil and stator. Still spitting gas out of rear cylinder pipe. Dont know what else to do.

Not trying to seem like a jerk but did you replace the spark plugs? It may still get spark but it can sometimes be too weak to get ignition (check by pulling the plug out, putting it back on the boot, touching the plug to something ground on the bike like the engine, then turn it over to see if spark is jumping the gap). The obvious thing is that you're not getting spark, the next thing coming to mind is good ground. Hopefully this helps.

Bike dont want to start got spark and feul benstanding for 5months now

Todays fuel is so full of crap that if left standing for any length of time will gunge up carb jets. The only solution I\'m sorry to say will be a full strip and clean of the fuel system & carbs. If you don\'t know what you are doing get someone who does. Stripping a carb is no job for the uninitiated.

Hi Anonymous, and the usual suspects are:
1. Spark plugs in bad condition or partially fouled.
2. Spark plug cables in bad condition or leaking.
3. Spark plug gap to close or to wide.
4. Faulty ignition coil, module and or sensor.
5. Battery nearly discharged.
6. Damaged wire or loose connections at battery terminals,
ignition coil, or plug between ignition sensor and module.
7. Intermittent short circuit due to damaged wire insulation.
8. Water or dirt in fuel system, carburetor or filter.
9. Fuel tank vent system plugged or carburetor vent line closed off.
10. Carburetor controls misadjusted.
11. Damaged carburetor.
12. Loose or dirty ignition module connector at crankcase.
13. Faulty MAP, CKP, and or CMP sensors.
14. Incorrect valve timing.
15. Weak or broken valve springs.
16. Damage intake or exhaust vale.

1995 yamaha 600 wont start

Is the kill switch on? Good battery? The side stand should be up. Is the choke on? Is the bike in neutral? Have you checked the fuses? Headlight should be off.

Get new stock plugs from the dealer. Check to see that the choke will open and close properly. Drain the carbs then remove and clean the fuel valve water trap bowl. Check the wiring harness for unplugged wires and loose connections. When was the last time you installed an air filter?

Hi, i have a 1990 honda cb1 (cb400). the problem i have is getting it started, it doesnt like starting with the choke and it seems to catch when i take my thumb off the starter button. even when the engine...


Nahh, i dont think the problem is any wire, the problem is more lite the sparking plug or the carburettors. Is is after all a 1990 model, i dont know when you replaced the sparking plugs last time, but im sure you never cleaned the carburettors.

Try first to replace the sparking plugs,thats the easy job, if that dosent make is start easyer then you have to take the carburattors down and clean them, and thats the hard job.

1995 GMC 1500 sierra loses power

The bad typing is hard to understand.I ll take a stab at it anyway.You replace the plugs,distibuter,feul filter, and the air filter.Did you notice that i dont even care about the sea foam garbage.When you replaced all that stuff did you do the spark plug wires or the rotor or the coil or the fuel pump?Maybe your mechanic needs to make a few extra bucks off that last job he did for you.Good luck

Start with testing the injectors for pulse. Get a NOID light they sell the at almost any auto parts store remove in get plug from injector and plug the noid light into plug look for constant steady (pulse)lighting of noid light. Check all six injector on your strait 6. If all is good remove parke plug wire on at a time from cap and look for increased shaking and less when it replaced(Make sure to use wire puller with rubber insulation to avoid being zapped by spark from coil) Note cylinder with no difference or change when wire is removed. Those would be the problem cylinders. Then get a compression guage and check all cylinders for compression by removing spark plugs and attaching guage to each cylinders, make a not of each cylinder's reading. NOTE THEY SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 10 PSI difference in cylinders. Make note of low compression cylinders if any. If compression is good all around spark plugs are good, good ignition wires and you have good pulse pattern from you noid light. The only other problem is BAD INJECTORS and those would be the ones that didn't change when you took off the wires. I have work on these old cressida alot my self. My motor wont start..!

  1. The carb has 2 choke knobs,red and black one,black for cold start and red for hot start,I found on my 426 that by pulling the black one every time I try to start the bike,the bike starts hot or cold.When it started press the choke knob back.
  2. A dirty air filter will also make the bike difficult to start.
  3. Do not open the throttle even a bit whilst kicking it,the carb tends to flood very easily and then you are going to kick the bike for ever and ever.
  4. The exhaust turning red hot I'd suggest you get the carburator's jetting checked out,it can be because your feul/air mixture is not right and this could also be a factor in your starting problem,but another reason can also be when the bikes stands still whilst idling or even being revd whilst not in motion the engine tends to get very hot very quickly,the bike does not have a electric fan blowing threw the radiator,and if you did not know your exaust system removes between 60-70% of your engines heat,so it will turn red hot if your are not riding so the cold wind can blow over the exhaust and threw the radiator.
  5. You say you get good spark,where did you test it?Did you check the spark plug itself,or only the sparkplug lead,I find the 426 to be very hard on spark plugs,when I find my 426 difficult to start the first thing I change is the spark plug and it solved my problem many times.
  6. You also mentioned you have feul "to" carb but do you have feul - carb to engine.
  7. How does the compresion feel when kicking the kickstarter,any lack in compresion could indicate a sticky valve in the open position,the unexperianced rider will not kickstart this bike due to the amense compression these bikes have (Ratio 12.1).
