the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)

My nokia n73 was accidentally disconnected while i was reinstalling its software. Now my phone is switched off for ever. It is not working. Can this be fixed? How? Is this expensive or a simple matter?

Download the latest software updater and pc suite from Nokia.
Plug in your phone and cable as if you were doing the update still.
The updater should indicate searching for device it should find the device and ask if to (re)install the update.
Click yes.
On numerous occasions it will tell you retry.......just keep clicking retry if you are instructed to disconnect cable do so connect again and click retry...keep doing this each time.
Eventually your phone should boot up again.

Let's Try something . Unplug the power and the USB cable, remove the battery (leave for 5 mins). Now refit battery & plug in power.

This is a bit important if your going to be able to recover your N73 !
Plug in the USB cable (connected to N73) and see if PC/laptop responds to "something" being connected, (plug and unplug a couple of times if neccessary) IF it responds "Good News" it should mean your N73 still has an Identity. Next unplug the USB and start the update software, once started it should be looking for a MBL thats connected, Now plug in the USB, If it recognises your N73 your in business, just proceed with the update. it may take 4 or 5 attempts for the software to update completely (it keeps dropping out and stalling, like it did originally to cause this mess) persist with this method and hopefully it will complete and your N73 will be back to life (you will lose any personally store info )
If the method does not work for you at all the solution is Nokia Care Point and warranty will cover the issue i supposed ..

Best Regards

Software update

I am not sure how convinced I am about your PC system quality, but since only you know that I can only advice this:

Nokia Pc Suite 6.18.13 is for you. Uninstall any version you have now ( I sincerely hope the registry cleaner you have bought does a proper cleaning but not too much, that can mess up your PC pretty well also).
After uninsalling previous version, go to www.nokia.com/pcsuite - support and run PC Suite Cleaner (all alternatives in cleaner)

Boot your PC.

Now download 6.81.13 to desktop. Then disconnect your PC from internet and shutdown any spyware programs you might have running.

doubleclick the PC Suite downloaded file and make a normal install, don't install to some excotic filders or what ever some users here in this forum seem to be doing.16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Attach the cable and phone to PC when Pc Suite asks you to do that, not before.

Hope you get it working.

Hello every one here

hi there you must update your N73 to a higher version using nokia sofware update. you can download here
note: to update your phone must use usb connectivity cable CA-53 and High-speed internet connection. once updating your phone do not disconnect the cable it can damage your phone.
if you can't do it just go to your nearest service center to upgrade to higher version.

ok!
peace!
