Water and cameras do not mix unless they are designed for underwater use.

My camera fell in sea water

My sympathies. If you immediately fished the camera out, removed the battery, rinsed it in fresh water, and let it dry thoroughly before even thinking about putting the battery back in and seeing whether it turns on again, then you MIGHT be able to salvage the camera. Otherwise it's time for a new camera.

The pictures on your memory card should be okay. Just rinse the card in fresh water and let it dry before trying to read the card.

Fell in water

DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON!!! You will only fry the circuits. Remove the battery and card. Dry the compartment as well as you can. Bury the camera in a bowl of dry rice for one week. Then, you can try to turn it on (keeping your fingers crossed). Even if it works, you still have the problem of water marks on the interior lens elements. Also, I'm assuming this was fresh water and not salt water.

My camera samsung es65 fell in water...what should i do now....when i kept battery and turned on welcome screen came and again it vanished..when we press buttons green light was blinking but screen is not...

It may be possible to dry the camera out by leaving it in a warm dry place for a long time (like weeks). However, you may have damaged it by turning it on while it was wet.

Our camera fell in water for about one minute with the camera on. now it will not work. will it ever work again? i was able to save the memory care with alot of pictures on it tho.

If you tried to turn it on while water was inside, you may have fried the circuits. You can try to dry it out by burying it in a bowl of dry rice for one week. Then try to turn it on and keep your fingers crossed. Even if it works, there may be a film over the lens elements inside the lens tube. Good luck.

Flip camera fell in water at the mouth of the river... water was part salt and part fresh... soaked camera in fresh water for an hour or so after then let dry... plugged it into my computer... but...

Drying a camera involves burying it in a bowl of dry rice for a week before even attempting to turn it on. However, your camera was exposed to so much water, there may be no hope for it.

MY NEW SONY 12 .1 CYBER SHOT CAMERA JUST FELL INTO THE WATER,I PICKED IT UP,DRIED IT AND SWITCH IT ON AFTER 10 MINUTES,YET NO SIGNAL.WHAT SHOULD I DO

You probably fried the circuits when you turned it on. A camera needs at least a week buried in a bowl of dry rice to dry out.

Hey i have a sony DSC-P73 and water damage

Water damage is very bad for a digital camera. Even if you let it dry completely before turning it on, sometimes the debris in the water can fry the circuits.

My camera fell into the water at the beach, and now i can't turn it on. what can i do?

Please do not try turning it on for the next 2 days as you may short the board.

Kindly leave it to dry after which you can try turning it on.
