Hi,

To remove the write protect lock, take the memory card out of the camera, face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab up to unlock it, it will be at the side of the card like this how to remove ''write protect'' from olympus fe-32 - 59a6de4.jpg .

SOURCE: I hve the write protect problem on my fe 320

It's most likely that your card is locked. Take out the card and on one side you should find a small slider with 2 symbols (an open and a closed pad lock). Move the slider to the open pad lock position and that should solve your problem. It's a feature on some (mainly SD) cards which lets you lock the card to avoid unintentional deletion of data. Hope that helps

SOURCE: How to replace a defective LCD screen in a FE 320 Olympus Digital

The flat rate repair fee for the camera is $74.85. This includes parts and labor, full cleaning and factory maintenance performed, a six month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you. This is the only cost you will pay. There are no other hidden charges.

Hi there, That is on the memory card. You have to look for a small switch at the side of the card, just have to move it the other way around to disable write protect.

Removal of write protection

Sounds like you will need to format the internal memory of the camera. This will permanently erase all the data from the memory and then you will be able to use it again. To format the memory: Press the Ok button - right arrow to Mode Menu - down arrow to Card tab - right arrow to card setup - right arrow to format option. You will see format yes or no. Choose Yes and press ok. This will clear the write protect message and the memory can be used again.
